What ever happened to Tommy Ayers?

I knew Ayers slightly when I lived in Cincinnati; actually knew his management team better. When he came back to the ring after an absence, let us say not of his own choosing, I was living here in chicago. I was shocked to read that he was matched with Buddy McGirt, who was a that time, in my opinion, one of the three or four best fighters in the world.Tried to call his manager, couldn't reach him. the fight was as I expected. I think it was a kayo by McGirt in the second round, after Buddy just looked him over inthe first. Tried to track him down back then, but couldn't find him.
