great result for McKenzie...
He is a really nice guy and a number of dodgy results early in his career he has kept learning, kept working and kept believing.
He is a tremendous natural athlete, in the mould of Carl Thompson.. you see him and cannot believe a guy can be so athletic.

Well done Ovill

Dont' know much about how the fight panned out, but yes, good to see a tough pro get hold of a real title in reward for his efforts. Doesn't look as if he's had many favours so it's a nice story.

I mentioned in another thread that Ovil McKenzie has got to be the most improved boxer this year, at the start of his career he looked as if he was going to be a tough journyman type of pro, but has proven me wrong and gone on to win the Commonwealth title.

Hopefully he can challenge Peter Oboh for the British title, as that title has been dormant for to long now (over 2 years), McKenzie would be up for that fight i'm sure.

Think Ovill is illegible to fight for the British title. He's jamaican and weren't able to box for Haymers English title.

Toney Oakey is now fighting Peter Oboh.... That could be a good one actually. One thing a ring rusty fighter doesn't want is a busy aggressive fighter.
