Briscoe was really tough and would probably win by late KO.

Briscoe was the much better all round fighter... Mcclellans only advantage would probably be in punch power, but that wouldnt really help him that much... this would be savage while it lasted but Geralds lack of defence would be his undoing and Bennie would get him in about 5 to 7 rounds... Mcclellans style was made for Bennie...

Good match up Ezzard. :TU:

This as others have said would be a brutal, bruising fight but I to would have to go with the ultra tough Bad Bennie to outlast and outwork the G-Man.

Briscoe by late TKO.

Agree with the majority - Briscoes ultimately too tough and wears down G-man.

Beyond his one-punch power and size, I really am not impressed by McClellan. Briscoe by late TKO.

I've been critical of McClellan in the past, but I'm gonna have to go against the grain here. If he does lose I can't say outright that he'd be stopped. Ground down is a possibility I suppose, but the man had a granite chin.

Briscoe had an iron chin as well, but we've seen him legitimately KTFO. Given that McClellan hit every bit as hard as Valdez, it's at least a possibility for him to blast him out of there early, or hurt him at different points before finally landing the one big punch as Valdez did (or as McClellan himself did against Jackson).

It's pretty much a toss-up for me. Either McClellan makes use of the "puncher>swarmer" adage and takes him out (likely early but possibly mid-rounds), or his lack of ring generalship and inside skills get exposed in a big way and Briscoe beats him up and wins a decision.

I'll do the dark horse thing and go with McClellan by early KO.
