IS TONY AYALA BACK IN PRISON?

Thinking about Dokes made me wonder if El Torrito is back in the slammer?
How crazy, 18 years in the pen, finally freed, botches his comeback & i hear got busted possibly for another 10 years. I think he was driving with heroin and porn in his car (porn is a crime??). Guy is going to spend the majority of his life behind bars.
Is Ayala back in prison? Anyone know whereabouts, any details

Last I heard he was done for breaking into a womans house again, just like he did in the 80s... only this time she shot him before he could do anything... I think he was then picked up on the driving with drugs etc and is probably back in the Jail for another ten or 20... good riddence really... if he cant learn his lesson after almost 20 years then he never will and doesnt want to either imo...

.....More or less as soon as Ayala was out of jail he started drinking again and going to strip clubs etc which all indicated the way things were going to go, and once he started losing his fights he went right off the rails again... strange thing is that his parole officer used to go with him a lot of the time to these bars etc... so its questionable whether Ayala got the right guidence he should have had... his parole officer seemed to be more interested in sharing the limelight than keeping the Bull on the rails...

The breaking in was before the Santos Cardona fight in 2001. I think it was only a couple of years ago when he was arrested in the car with no licence. Pretty spooky the whole burglary aspect with the woman again.
In his post prison interviews he claims to be so well adjusted & remorseful but between the lines he comes across as completely tapped dont know if anyone else picked up on this.
Guy is definitely mentally loose.

Correct.
He used to take his wife and his parole officer to strip clubs, he used to proposition the strippers in front of them.
What a set up

It is too bad, such a waste of boxing potential. Had Ayala kept on the straight and narrow, he would have ended up fighting Hagler for the MW title. He would have BTSO of Hagler. Then I would not have to sit here reading all the Hagler nut hugger posts.

..if this punk had had the misfortune to get into the ring with hagler, it would be hagler who'd be in jail for assault , battery and attempted murder.

If he hadn't been such a fornicating psycho, he wouldn't have been such a great talent.
I sure don't disagree with that. It seems many times real good fighters border on the edge. If it weren't for Cus Damato, Tyson would have been in the hole a lot sooner. Too bad Ayala didn't have him as a trainer too. Cus could have kept Ayala locked up in the Catskills too, just like Tyson, only allowed to come out of training camp to fight or f*ck.

I couldn't have put it better myself, Mr. Jaclem, sir! Talented as Ayala was, against Hagler he would've gotten a real taste of what it feels like to be stalked and brutalized.

I'm not sure that being a great fighter and a nut case are synonomous. Tyson for example started to fade the crazier he got, sure you could say he was crazy to start with and thats why he had sucsess, but I would say that was not his chief attribute. Boxing is much more than being mean and nasty. I would say the guy who keeps his head would have the advantage. Especially over the long haul.

Marvin Hagler would have given Ayala a boxing lesson.

You can think what you want...but Tyson was never in any trouble until after Cus Damato was dead. And so what if Damato wasn't a father figure?.....lots of real fathers aren't father figures. Cus was a mentor, which is much better in many cases. Tyson was just a managable psycho with boxing/punching ability. He had rage to go along with it. A dangerous combination.

Did'nt Tyson get in trouble for trying to bang an 11 yr old girl whilst under Cus' wing???

Did Ayalas fight with YB Campas show us something about him that wasn't very brave?
Or should it be discounted because he was in his late 30s?
He was still an undefeated fighter who had looked impressive in his comeback fights. Holding on & potentially scraping a win would have meant literally millions of dollars for him...

I don't think D'amato was a very good father figure for Tyson. He didn't make Tyson go to school, never punished him for doing s
hit and indulged him way too much. I don't think he'd be able to keep Ayala out of trouble, either.
Spot on. D'Amato made things worse in the long run by covering up for Tyson and not making him take responsibility for his own actions. Cus did not keep him out of trouble he was just good at keeping it quiet.

Ayala was a typical bully just like Tyson and quit when he met a fighter capable of standing up to him....

You're showing your lack of knowledge again!.

.. Tyson was in plenty of trouble while Cus was alive but Cus managed to get him off and cover things up... Tyson attacked girls long before he even turned pro!...

Thats not true to say all rapeists have been raped themselves... some may come from backgrounds of abuse but not all... the majority of those from abusive backgrounds have the sense and decency not to inflict the same pain onto another person....
