It's being reported on the current scene that Freitas has decided to call it a day and concentrate on being a promotor.

Good luck to him. A wise decision I think, was probably unlikely to accomplish much more at this point in his career.
the superfeather/lightweight division when it had Freatas, Corrales, Castillio and Mayweather was my favorite to watch at the time.

Interesting considering he is coming off a career best (maybe) win over Raheem. Still some big fights out there for him, and some money to be made. Although I suspect he's made his money in the ring, now he feels he can make a comparable ammount without being lamped for a living.

Well, it wasn't what he was implying after Raheem.
There are so many avenues for him.... There's the Corrales vs Casamyor winner for kick off.
I'm quite stunned at this decision and a little dissapointed as a fight fan - but, hey he doesn't need it financially - so good on him is what I can say, and best of luck.
