Yeah, there are some more deserving contenders than Hatton, Jones being one of them. I hope that the winner of Hatton vs TBA will have to face Macklin - although I suspect Matt will be wise to have a longish break.

Steve Conway for me should definately be involved, as should Wayne Alexander.

Other more worthy than Matthew include Facey, McDonagh, Pryce, and Woolcombe. Although as a former central area champion, I can see why they have opted for Matthew.

I would be very surprised to see Hatton box gym mate Macklin.

Apart from anything else, Magic Matthew has sparred Macklin enough times to know he would have no chance!

I thought Darren Barker was handed a final eliminator as well.

I know there was some acrimony over the first launch of ukboxingpress, surely this isn't the same people? I know you and Ben Carey were involved first time around Stu, and it looked a promising site in the short time it existed. This must be a fresh start-up with the same name?

I've no idea who is involved this time.... I haven't been approached anyway and I'm quite happy limiting my time to two boxing forums and any write ups to BBN.

"Fight Academy flunky" - that's a laugh. I haven't had anything to do with them for a year, no contact whatsoever.

A Fight Academy press release announced that Hatton will be taking part in a final eliminator. I wrote a story about that. Oh, and if you read it properly it questioned whether Matthew deserves to take part in an eliminator with more worthy candidates around.

Don't be so quick to judge son.

I don't see this happening - he's supposed to be fighting a Russian on that show and he wants to compete at welter not light-middle.

I'd be interested to read some stuff from behind the scenes to be honest. As much as BC can come over as irritating, he has the inside track and i enjoy reading most of his stuff. An independant voice for SN?

in such a small website is Matthew Hatton really worth a mention? don't think he would have got past Ross Minter if they had fought, shame that one didn't come off.
