Dean Francis explosive low key return.

Been a long admirer of Dean Francis, I think he is one of the biggest talents domestically of his generation.
I thought his fight with Tommy Eastwood would be his last to be honest.
But no, Dean returned a few days ago and looked good.
Well done to BBN for reporting the event, sorry I only spotted it untill now.

Saw the knockout on the regional news bulletin Stu and it looked like a good left hook (I'm a bit confused as the report suggests it was a left-right combo). The clip I saw didn't show him throwing any right hands so I can only hope that the shoulder problem has cleared up for good.
On a separate note, I was disappointed at how the show was promoted as even though the event was on my doorstep, the first I knew about it was when I read Boxing News on Friday.
I noticed that Ross Hale is somehow involved in the promotional team, but I wasn't familiar with the other names. Maybe Chris or Jamie Sanigar could throw some light on this....

there was a fair bit of coverage in the local bristol rag,haven"t seen any posters up though.
ross hale is the trainer of the boxer liam stinchcombe who was supposed to fight on the bill,one of the others in the picture is ex bristol boxer dean cooper,who fought robert mcracken and kirkland laing among others.

Cheers for the info, I thought I recognised Dean Cooper's name. Shame there don't appear to be any up and coming West Country boxers following in the footsteps of Hale, Catley etc.
I think Swindon's Jamie Cox would have a style well suited to the pro game.

Francis is my favourite ever British fighter. I still want to see him do well. Great idea for him to move down to light heavyweight. Francis said he's been fighting at his walking around weight, so 175 sound sgood. The cruisers are way too big - especially the 6' 5 Hobson and the slightly smaler Macca. God knows what they weigh on fight night. If only the injury didn't happen, there could have been an outstanding Francis-Calzaghe fight.
Hopefully the sholder holds up!
Undra White must be a jinx. Anyone see his fight with Jermain Taylor? Tha was another fight that ended in a bad mess.
