Femi's got nice skills and is gritty, but unless Carl's chin cracks again, he has virtually no chance against Joahannson. He hasn't made any impact at domestic level and Rick Manners has done well to get Carl a safe 1st defence.

My comment was based on a piece I read a couple of years back in BM (probably about the same time you were getting into boxing you jonny-come-lately-know-fukc-all-meacon-headed-c u n t.)

I couldnt remmeber if the story of a boxer's rise from a trouble start in life referred to Fehintola or not. It would appear my memory served me correctly on this occasion.

I do not see it as a dig, more like the opposite. Top respect for Femi for getting to fight for the British title with his background. There are two many stories of the opposite happening, British title level moving into a drink and drugs background (Georgie Smith, Booth). Nice to see the opposite happening.... I would certainly shake his hand.

Incidently, can we please keep personal insults to a minimum.... All posters are more than Welcome, but lets be a bit contrustive - constant plugs or just personal digs are not really acceptable.

That includes calling poster C.U.N.T.S or T.W.A.T.S.

Saw Femi fight okay but no punch which is a good factor against someone like Johanson. Johanson used to be with A-Force promotions right? Was Femi an Ingle fighter cos from what I remember he fights like one and is from the right part of the country. Femi doesn't deserve a shot at the title in such a strong domestic division and can't see him lasting too long with Johansson whose skills seem be underestimated by some people thinking he is just a banger.

My question was posed to clarify a point I was unsure of. Surely that is what these public boards are for?
I was unaware that his past was such a darkly guarded secret - the fact that I read an article all about it years ago made me think it was in the public domain and that Femi was happy for people to know about it.

Fellow posters, be sure not to pose a question regarding an article you read 2 or 3 years ago about a then unknown young pro, in case you offend old spuddy.

I was heavily involved as I am each year organising a show to raise cash for Army charities ... this years show happened last night ... Dennis Hobson, Richard Poxon, Clinton Woods and Femi Fehintola attended that show which they did not have to do ... are they now leading the life of "Spud's" boxing hanger on?? The point I am making is if it was all one way traffic and I was doing the "hanger on" and arse licking ... why did those people kindly attend the Grade 3 Novice amateur show last night?? ... Clinton only came out of hospital the day before due to an operation on his elbow ... Femi had just come out of the gym ... Richard Poxon and Dennis Hobson had literally been involved all day in meetings ...

All of those people did not have to attend last night ... all of those people could attend a multititude of other charity or boxing functions ... but yet they chose to attend The York show despite other offers ...

You mention in a mocking manner about Lee Meager ... always liked him and always will ... I will leave it there. Carl Froch ... it is plain to see for all to see I still rave about him and always will. There is only one person from that particular promotional outfit they I cannot stand and he knows the phone call why I will never ever speak to the man again.
