Daws v Morrison .... Off!!!

Just been speaking to a member of Team Morrison.

Daws v Morrison is off this Friday.

Barry Morrison has a virus and unfortunately cannot fight. He is gutted because he really felt he had a huge chance of winning the fight. Weight was spot on and the training had gone really well.

As Morrison is the mandatory ... the fight will be taking place at sometime in the near future once Morrison is okay!!

Triple blast! Boxing was going to get another cracking fight. Hopefully Morrison will be on the mend again soon.

Lenny must be gutted not to be able to get his mandatory out of the way and the bloke trains like a demon too.

Would it be nice if Sky arranged something so that Swaby vs Keeton (Sheffield) and Lynes vs Bosworth (London) were shown.

Sky are showing this, or do you mean its off.

Swaby vs Keeton is this friday, its a bit of a pitty it doesn't look like it will be on TV, British title fight and all that.

Hunter v Molitor is very much on and on Sky.

I'd love to see Lynes - Daws II if I could get 9/2 about Lenny again.

I see no reason why Swaby v Keaton should not be shown ...

I am told Fight Academy have a reasonable fight for Matthew Hatton ...

In addition why doesn't Hennessy send of his undercard fighters up to the Sheffield show to make it a really good undercard? ... I am sure Fight Academy would not object!!!

We can ill afford to have another cancelled date!!!

Fighters need fights to pay their bills ... I hope Fight Academy and Hennessy can work together albeit on short notice on this!!!

Just checked Friday schedule - looks like Sky have scrapped any boxing. :(

Shame, but Swaby v Keaton is hardly headline material. I know its the British title but does either really deserve a crack at that on recent form?

I like Lenny Daws, local lad to me. Glad he is still fighting.

I'd put money on Colin winning if he has time to prepare. Last time out he was no where near ready and like any true fighter took the fight because he was worried about being frozen out.

I can only assume the whole Daws-Morrison show has been scrapped and therefore so has that fight.

In the bigger scheme of things perhaps I would agree ...

But Swaby/Keaton is for the British Title ...

In addition I know there was a possibility of some of the Hennessy undercard fighters appearing on the show ... has stubborness got in the way??

Fighters need their pay days ... they need to pay their bills ... promoters somehow need to work together!!!

Yes they do, but unfortunately egos often get in the way.

British boxing would be far better off with cross pollination of bills and better working relationships between the main players.

I hope something can happen in this regard but I wont hold my breath.

Completely agreed.

Boxing politics is ruining the sport!!

But have to diagree with your views concerning why the Keaton/Swaby show tommorow evening not being shown on Sky TV!!!
