Just came back off my lunch to tell you the horror i saw on the shelf at WH Smith.

The boy who can barely string a coherent sentence together & has only had 8 pro fights has done an Audley Harrison and already 'written' a book.

Cant tell you anything about it other than i saw the following: Amir's autobiography will tell the story of a boy who Don King has compared to Sugar Ray Robinson... I think i'm going to be fcuking sick.

Someone please read & share the content with us all, should be good banter.

At his age it can only be a book of nursery rhymes.

I have to imagine 1 chapter would be entitled "In the Womb", seeing as he hasn't been out of it long enough to necessitate a book.

How long had he held the book captive for? 8)

Incidentally, if any of you guys still wants Audleys book, "Realising The Dream", you can still buy it for the very reasonable price of SIXTEEN quid.

Maybe combine it with Amirs book, for some more great reading? What serious boxing fan wouldn't want these classics sandwiching 'Raging Bull' and "Sugar Ray"?

I know i bought it yesterday but as it was rubbish today i took it back to WH Smiths and got a refund.

This is what is being said to sell Khans book:

This really is an unneccesary book, but we shouldn't be surprised, it's just a symptom of the fast celebrity culture we have today, where every nonentity out there has a 'story' to tell. Compared to Jordan and Peter Andre, his achievements make Alexander the great look like a stillborn infant.

I still refuse to line the lads pockets by reading it though.

As Jim says although you wouldn't consider it yourself (I might buy a book about you in 10-20 years time Amir) when compared to the dickheads that take up the column inches and bookshelves (Preston & Chantelle anyone?) then Khans book makes me positively salivate in anticipation of the 19 year olds anecdotes.

I actually bought Hatton's one but only becuase Asda sell books cheaper than WHSmith and Borders which sell them for scum prices.

There is actually an interesting story there, how a young british muslim is being directed towards being the next british boxing household name....but I'm sure this book is not it...

It's common practice these days. Almost all sports-related autobiographies are a waste of time for everyone other than those involved in publishing.

Well Rooney aged 20 has just released or is in the process of releasing the first of 5 books.
