Why the hell this fight is not on TV now that the Hennessy show has been binned I really do not know!!!

Who do you guys think will win this fight ... does the winner have a chance of making some money??

Truthfully I dont think this is a match worthy of the Lonsdale belt. Both men are (fairly) entertaining fighters but the pairing should have been an eliminator at best.

I know alot of other parties are otherwise engaged but I would have like to have seen the likes of a Rob Norton involved in the mix.

I can understand why Sky gave this show a miss on late notice. Shame for the fighters and their fans but whoilly iunderstandable from my point of view.

Whilst you have your opinons concerning the fighters deserving their shots ... nonetheless the fight is for the British Title ... and then when you throw in some of the fights which have been put on Sky and other channels which have been p*ss poor then I cannot see any reason why this fight could not have been shown.

Keaton and Swaby whilst they will not go further than domestic level it will be a good old fashioned decent scrap ... and thus entertainment for the fans!!!

Boxing needs to be shown ... the show at worst is better than f*ck all being shown for the fans!!!

I am sure it will be entertaining but simply hanging a title on a fight doesnt suddenly make it worthy.

I as a fan would like them to show this fight but I fully understand Skys decision not to.

Short notice or not, Sky have a new found quality control system and this fight falls foul of their new found diligence.

Thing is, both men waged absolute thriller with Mark Hobson (Keaton recently, Swaby in the 1st fight). Imagine how they'll match up? Would be pretty exciting.

How many times have you been at a show when a good old domestic clash has been the best fight of the night??

Entertainment is lacking sometimes in boxing... regardless of what you think of the quality of this fight it will be entertaining!!!

I can see both arguments. Personally, having watched Keeton and Swaby on a number of occasions, this fight appeals to me - title, or no title. But I can understand the masses being bemused by a scheduled British title fight involving two guys with 29 losses between them.

It's a pity though that the next domestic boxing show on SKY isn't until Nov 3 when Carl Johanneson fights Femi Fehintola.

I think that this is certainly true, the most spirited clashes tend to be fights where neither has a great deal to lose except their pride.

However, the TV executives aren't interested in these sort of fights, as they think (perhaps rightly) that people want a title on the line to watch a fight.

However, a clash like this would set pulses racing and have arsed hanging off seats, which in the long run is good for the coverage of the sport.

The point I am making is being missed somewhat.

I have no doubt that Swaby-Keaton will offer an entertaining, visceral spectacle but does the winner deserve to winner the Lonsdale belt? In my eyes the answer is no.

The Lonsdale belt is one of the most historically important and beautiful prizes in the sport. It should be earnt, not awarded because there was no one else available to fight for it. We only have to look at the effort Macklin put forth recently attempting to win it to see what it means to boxers. It shouldn’t be given away with boxes of Frosties…

Bill this fight for the Masters, English or even an area title and I have no problem; and as a TV fight it could be a cracker but I simply cannot fathom how the winner is worthy of being deemed the Champion of Britian.

Can't Channel five or ITV show it?

When Norton vs Francis (Francis winning an eliminator vs Eastwood and Norton the longtime #1 contender) are fighting for the ENGLISH TITLE then it does make this fight a bit rediculous.

Both got stopped in recent British title fights and both have been losing more than winning recently.

However, the BBBoC in all their wisdom have picked these two, and as there is now a free TV date - it should be on Sky.

It shouldn't be for the title, but as it is (fulfil this criteria for Sky) and its a good TV fight, then it should be on TV.

My points are now extremely valid bearing in mind the Hennessy show has now been completely cancelled!!!

Sky no longer take any old rubbish.

Tonight will be entertaining (and all credit to the promoters for taking a risk without TV) just like a seller at Ripon racecourse could be.

Thing is these two have 47-29-2 record between them, and correct me if I'm wrong but both been stopped recently.

If an individual fighter with that sort of record headlined a Sky bill people would be up in arms

but on the other hand sky will be showing femi fehintola fighting for the british title, femi is unbeaten but so far has only fought in 8 rounders and his best result has been against someone who had a 5-3-1 record.

my point is, does mr fehintola qualify for a lonsdale shot more than two warhorses like swaby and keaton. i think not....

but in reality, it should be ok for all parties, cos if its good enough for an inexperienced 'club' fighter then its good enough for a warhorse with a punchers chance.

but carl johanseon is a good fighter, i think sky will back him, he will get to least euro championship level imo, He was caught cold against that russian. It is a shame that tonights title fight was not screeneed;, but since they got rid of 10million a year mr consultancy the quality of fights has improved imo. I think they will show a Keeton defence now.

Regardless of credentials etc etc Sky TV and more imortantly the armchairfans missed out big time on a very entertaining show last night!!!

Every fight was a decent watch ....

Some of your comments about whether fighters deserve their shots at the titles maybe correct ... but nonetheless the fights themselves proved to be very entertaining indeed.

We have some world title fights that send you to sleep ... Bernard Hopkins for instance ... fantastic fighter fantastic achievements ... but at times extremely boring to watch ... LAST NIGHTS SHOW HAD IT ALL!!!

who promoted the show spud, i cant recall.
