Your favorite One Punch Knockouts

Heres a list of my favorites:

1. Hearns KO4 Duran - Yeah Duran was a punching bag for Hearns all night but the right hand he delivered could knock almost anyone out. The Pinnacle Hearns victory.

2. Rocky Marciano KO13 Jersey Joe Walcott - Enough has been said about this bout. Good ol' Suzy Q

3. Julian Jackson KO4 Herol Graham - This was my favorite all time fight with Jackson. It really showed that he can literally end ANY fight with one punch, even when cornered.

4. Jersey Joe Walcott KO7 Ezzard Charles - Wow, definition of perfect timing.

5. Lennox Lewis KO4 Hasim Rahman - I like the whole idea of Lennox trying to avenge his loss in dramatic fashion. Speaking of fashion, Rahman's shorts are just amazingly tacky.

Bob Foster - Mike Quarry. One of the most devastating I have ever seen.

Shavers KO1 Jimmy Ellis ...

Ellis has Shavers hurt in the corner and is trying to finish it when he gets hit with a short right uppercut ... BALL GAME!

These weren't one punch knockouts. Both fighters had taken a lot of damage and were on wobbly legs before the final shot was landed.

I watched Sugar Ray Leonard KO Davey 'Boy' Green the other day. Leonard was never known as being a KO artist but that had to be one of the best I've seen - brutal. Poor old Davey was literally out before he hit the canvas.

Palomino's KO of Green with that left hook was another good one. Do you think Leonard had the left hook filed in the memory bank for when he met Green. :TU:

One of the great comebacks of all time as well.

George Foremans knockout of Michael Moorer.
Larry Holmes when he hit Mike Weaver with an uppercut.
Juan Laporte with a left hook against Rocky Lockridge.

True, they did take a lot of punishment prior to the punch but the uppercut from Big George and the clean right hand of Norris were both spectacular punches.

Also McCallum's sweeping left hook on Curry was a great 1 punch KO as well, same with Michael Dokes left hook of Gardner.

Not as high a level fight as the others mentioned so far but Wayne Alexander's KO of Takaloo is probably the most brutal I've seen. Looked for it on Youtube but doesn't seem to be on there.

Dempsey - Sharkey even though it was dirty, still devestating.

Michael Nunn on Sumbu Kalambay, that was a shocking result and a beautiful one punch KO at the same time. I never expected Nunn to pull that off, and had they fought ten more times I doubt that he would have succeeded in doing that again. Also, Vincent Pettway`s left hook finisher on Simon Brown was a vicious KO, Brown was punching at imaginary opponents while flat on his back on the deck, scary knockout that was. And who can forgot Julian Jackson`s one punch KO`s over Terry Norris and Buster Drayton, as well as Oleg Maskaev`s one punch, knock him thru the ropes and right out of the ring right cross on Hasim Rahman in their first bout.

I figured someone would have mentioned Vincent Pettway's one punch knockout over Simon Brown! Brown considered by many to be one of the toughest fighters around comes in winging bombs and Pettway catches him with as perfect a left hook as I can remember...certainly on par with Robinson's hook on Fullmer. Brown, unconscious, continued to throw weak-like jabs while flat on his back, eye's closed, and as knocked out as it gets. That along with Julian Jackson's KO over Herol Graham are two of the best in history!

>>>Is there a clip of that floating around the internet anywhere?<<<

Of Pettway-Brown? It looks like there would be a copy of it floating around somewhere on the net. If I had the software and know-how, I would upload the copy that I have.

If there is a person who has not seen Pettway-Brown...in my opinion, it rates right up there with Jackson-Graham, Marciano-Walcott and Robinson-Fullmer for sheer, brutal, one-punch devastation!!!

This will always be a favorite of mine because I predicted the results, the round, and the punch correctly and won a butt load of money in the process.
