I'll prob be in london round dec 15 so when & where do you get tickets for Howard Eastmans foregone conclusion crushing kayo of Richard Williams?

How much does it cost to get a real good seat in York Hall?

Anyone seen fights there? Must be a good view from pretty much anywhere, yes?

When was the last time Eastman scored a crushing KO. I only make Howard slight favourite here, and even that is shaky, he seems to have lost all sense of urgency, and cannot or will not fight for more than a short spell in each round. He's never actually scored a clean KO in his career, they have all been TKO's from an accumulation of shots, and though heavy handed without the workrate he is not that formidable any more.

Not sure you can call anything a forgon conclusion when a fighters comming off 3 losses and a KO, I like eastman and hope he wins but he don't seem to have motivation any more and if you can't take the fight to bernard hopkins who can you get up for.

A foregone conclusion??!... you're having a laugh arent you?... I'd favour a peak Howard over Williams but Howards peak is a long time past I'm afraid... its a hard fight anyway you look at it....

Howard seems to be becoming the gate keeper for the world class level of the middleweight division.

How can anything be a foregone conclusion with someone as unpredictable as Eastman? Coupled with Eastman appearing to be on the slide and who knows what will happen.

Boxrec - sounds like this boy has taken too many OVERHAND RIGHTS himself.

Howard is one lazy fighter and he will lose a wide UD.

Good to know you guys agree with me. Because Richard Williams, yeah he's definitely an Edison Miranda/Abraham/Hopkins level fighter.

Anyways do you just call up York Hall itself for the tickets? I thought it would be through someone else..?

- I'm really looking forward to this, probably is my most anticipated fight with 2 british boys this year. I think it will be very close, Eastman has the potential to edge it, but will he?? Whatever the result, I hope that it's a cracker!

I think Eastman at his peak would have dealt with Williams quite comfortably, but its hard to say now giving Eastman's recent run, will he be up for this??? I still expect Eastman to win, but Williams could make it competative.

Eastman on points, or possibly by late TKO.

Depsite the fact Eastman has clearly operated at a superior level to that of Williams, this is definetely no foregone conclusion.

I still favour Eastman, but Richard is in with a real chance.

Terence wrote:Eastman is coming off three losses, so finally he has found some kind of in-ring consistency in his career. He is no longer blowing hot and cold, just cold - according to the record books.

Calling any Eastman fight a foregone conclusion is a bit premature, the guy freezes on the big occasion and this may be for a relatively minor title (given his recent fight with Hopkins) yet on the other hand he is fighting to save his career.

I bet a lot of fans will finish the fight shaking their heads at Howards performance.

Richard will win imo. Tough fight pn paper.But........ A mobile Williams with left hand operating 100% and the big right hand - I think Williams does the business.

RW Wpts 12... But if he hits as hard as he did last time out.. who knows!

Eastman TKO 7

Your all forgetting Eastman is a class above Williams, goodness sake he;s been the top middle in britain for a long time now even with his losses, they wernt to shady B level class fighters, they were to the top boys around in the world class catagory, Eastman TKO 7.

Top Middle in England and the best he beat was.....................Scott Dann/Mccracken. RW is a better boxer than both.

Roll on December!.

Robert McCracken competed a higher level than Williams, and achieved more.

Saying Williams is better qualified is wishful thinking.

Agreed, roll on december 15!!

By the tme Eastman got to him - Mccracken was on his last legs..

THAT IS A FACT.

Achieving more does not mean you are automatically better.

See Eubank Benn and Herol Graham...Not trying to make comparisons.

McCracken was only "on his last legs" once Eastman beat him up.

Maybe Eastman was just far better than McCracken and Keith Holmes?

I dont like the whole dismissing a fighter as shot after he loses to a guy he would never have beaten anyway.

Maybe McCracken just wasn't that good to begin with.

Define 'better' then. Ultimately achievement is everything, anything else is just bullshit and supposition. For instance, everyone is always going on about how incredible Kirkland Laing was, but aside from a win over a demotivated Robert Duran, he never managed to put anything together outside of domestic level. Yes yes, Herol was a magnificent fighter, could avoid being hit with his hands behind his back etc, but when it mattered most, he fell short. Eubank and Benn's careers were far more impressive because when it mattered most, they came through. That's the acid test, can you cut the mustard when your bollocks are on the line, not what you might have done had this that the other been different.

Whether McCracken was on his last legs or not I don't know, but I do know that in recent times, Eastman has fallen short and looked very lack lustre in his biggest bouts, and whilst he is in with someone he would almost certainly have beaten a few years back, who knows what will happen now. I think it quite possible that Williams will want it more, and that Howard may well let yet another fight slip away only to complain of being robbed afterwards.
