Only one word for that scoring......DISGUSTING.

Whats the result?

UD for Earl. Scoring was way wider than it should have been. I wasn't keeping track of my own score, but I thought Ramirez edged it.

Dont care anymore, Drozd lost to Arslan, so I lost my bets. (I had Earl in one of them)

115-113 wasn't THAT bad, I disagreed with decision but I wouldn't cry robbery. I'll prob watch the fight again.

3rd time lucky for Earl.... 3rd Lucky decision IMO. Again Dodgy ITV scoring by Duke and Barry... both claim the fight is level going into the 10th. 10th was won by Earl, 11th and 12th won by Ramirez BEYOND Doubt (possible calls for a 10-8 round 11).

Barry and Duke think Earl won by a round at the end of the fight. At least this time John Rawling, who also had it level going into the 10th - gave it to Ramirez.

I had it for Ramierez, cannot remember my exact card, but the 10th round (for Earl) pulled it level, but then Ramirez won the championship rounds big.

I wouldn't have been THAT shocked had Ashie been given the verdict over Mitchell, but Ramierez definately won this fight for me, even though it was close on my final card (by 2 rounds) - I did think I was being lineant to Earl.

No Ivlark maybe 115-113 wasn't that bad, though highly debatable. However the 4 point margin twice was f,ucking disgusting.

Nah, it wasn't a robbery, but 115-113 is about as wide as you could have it.

Surprised to see that Drozd lost to Arslan. All the other results on that card went right to script though. You could have called every one except for Arslan-Drozd, in fact.

Drozd got a beating in round 5, so no problem with the stoppage.

Is Graham Earl the Tito Trinidad of British boxing, almost seems the norm for him to be badly hurt in fights... but never stays down.

I do think though it will happen when he steps up a level. When I was watching his eyes spinning vs Ramirez - I was thinking, Casamayor/Freitas.... ouch.

I thought it was 7 rounds to 5 or a draw.[/i]

Who did you give the 7 rounds too?

Earl, but it could of went to Remirez.

Draw is acceptable too.

I gave it to Ramirez by 1 :box:

The ITV commentary is dreadful to be honest especially McKenzie. He seems to change his scoring as soon as he finds out that the SN fighter is going to lose on his card

Duke scores too many rounds even. :o [/u]

Last 3 fights Earl has showed great heart, but he looks like a step up in class and he would get knocked out.

So I take it you give him no chance against the winner of Freitas/Casamyor

the only saving grace for earl was that ramirez had a tendancy to stop working for large parts of the round but everytime he opened up he had earl all over the place, in the latter half of the fight i dont think a round went by without earl being rocked.
if those 2 fights had been held in another country i think ashie and ramirez would have won.

Terrible thing to have to admit, but i agree with you. Whatever happened to the " british sense of fair play"?

Ramirez won but the decision won me money so I'm only making a token effort to cry foul

Earl's chin was hanging out to dry all night if the Argentine had been a better puncher Early could have suffered a serious knockout.

I too had Ramirez winning by a round.

Thought that Earl looked very one dimensional, slow feet and hands and just generally flat footed. The opponent was nothing special but showed a desire and willingness to throw clusters of punches against a static target. In fact Earl looked, to me, like he was going through the motions. He seemed to have no spark or fire before or during the fight. And he looked completely fvcked at the end as opposed to his opponent.

At best you can say that it was a gutsy dig deep but below par performance. But against a world class operator, who can actually dig a bit, Earl would not have mad it to the final bell.

Ramirez had the odd decent shot here and there, but as soon as he saw an opening his technique went right out the window.

ramerez had the best attacks in most of the rounds and rocked earl . What did earl do to win the fight apart from having home town support? Earl was crap. Ramerez was the smaller man with more desire. He had some breathers in some rounds but created the best work. Even if he dropped earl he still would of lost, thats not right.

Can anyone imagine what would happen to Earl against a classy boxer like Casamayor, or a compact, fast paced pressure fighter such as Juan Diaz? Curtains.

Maybe a dozen WBU defenses vs cagey foreigners who can make you look dreadful will have him ready!

Seriously, I doubt it.
