Be serious how good do you think he is?.

His father seems to think there should be a national holiday in wales everytime he fights. Now hes good but hes not that good.

To be honest the bloke is probably very good. However his boxing career isnt that of a great. The man has clearly failed to fulfil his potential, and that is criminal.

He is only as good as his last fight. That's why he was regarded as being brilliant after the Lacy fight and just a mere mortal after the Bika fight.

I actually think he is an excellent fighter who has wasted his career on meaningless defences. But if he fights and beats Kessler then he will have an irrefuteable legacy in the sport.

I used to say that Calzaghe wasn't as good as he things he is but but he's much better than many people(mostly Americans) think he is.

But after the way he leathered Lacy i began to think that Joe might just be as good as he thinks he is... But ultimately he's not quite that good but its close and he'll beat any fighter currently around 168-175. Calzaghe is as dominant over his division as any fighter in boxing. He's certainly without peer at 168 despite the hype currently being given to Kessler.

the thing is, there is no hype with Kessler. Only substance.

It's Calzaghe's career that is surrounded by ifs and buts and maybes and how he would've beaten Ottke, how he would beat Kessler.

Why do we never get to see such things?

Kessler just gets on with it. If anything he is underrated. Kessler has an excellent style of fighting and has a warrior's mentality.

Very talented boxer, but not good enough to do the Roy Jones show boat thing as Bika showed.

When he's serious & not acting like a prick ala Lacy fight hes very hard to beat.

If he can beat Kessler then step up to light heavy and claim a scalp like Woods or Tarver, or even if he gets beat up but shows guts in defeat he can retire a very respectable ex-champ.

Not just in wales, but the whole UK needs a Calzaghe day. :TU:

Make two days once he beats the shite out of Kessler. :box:

Bika didn't allow him to showboat unlike the guys Roy fought though.

I await people who would actually think I'm serious. :TU:
