I doubt it but does anyone know if a bookie is offering anything on his 'routine' match tonight?

Saw he's also schedualed to fight Ovill McKenzie after. I'd have thought that would be fairly routine aswell but will Ovill on such a role at the moment could that be an upset?

I think Magee could be in for a hard night with David. He looked impressive (for a 4/5 fight novice) when he was on Sky a few months ago, and has a typically awkward Ingle style.
I sometimes think that "championship" class fighters like Magee should steer clear of anything less than 8-rounders, as they don't do themselves justice over the sprint distances. Bobby Vanzie (against Dacve Stewart) and Micheal Ayers come to mind at the moment.

Oh bugger, I thought there was a new chat show about to air on Irish TV.

Be worth giving him a chatshow if only for a chuckle at his threadbare 'Matrix' style introduction. Though 'Eamonn Magee tonight' would probably have more water cooler moments.
I too think he's now an accident waiting to happen. I think the Froch fight will have taken a lot out of him. And his punch resistance before that was already of a Junior Jonesesque vintage. I can see somebody sparking him inside a round.

I agree, Paul David has been stringing together some decent wins recently and pitting Magee in with him on his Light Heavyweight debut is a risky one. In the Belfast Telegraph today it claims Magee is chasing a Commonwealth shot at Ovil McKenzie (possibly early January) and believes that new promoter Dennis Hobson can maybe deliver a world title shot in 2007 or maybe a crack at Clinton Woods.Magee has a suspect chin at SM so moving up to LH is asking for trouble.
On a side note Derry Light Welterweight hope Paul McCloskey faces the ubiquitous Daniel Thorpe on the Scottish bill tomorrow night.

Thought I was right for a couple of rounds but then Brian took over and David went into his shell. Magee admitted David was very awkward.

Pretty surprised SKY didn't show at least highlights of this fight. Only a small mention afterwards, good win for Brian here.
