Yet another cracking win in GERMANY!!!!!! for britains Michael Sprott.

he remains the most in form HW we have

ahead on points going into the last round with Skelton .... a string of massive displays in europe.... the 3 battles with williams (he was whipping Dannys butt in the 2nd fight)

at only 6ft he has always had the disadvantage in this era of giants

but against the young 6ft 2 prospect Gammer sprott has a great chance of regaining the british crown ....it cud be a brilliant fight .... and id love to see Skelton sprott 2

That is a very very good result. To have the judges in Germany give it to you must show he did well. He's a fine boxer, and really should be given some big paydays in the USA. Maybe a shot against Briggs, now he's WBO champ.

One of boxings nicest, gentle good guys. Sprotty loves his boxing, and as proven last night will take a fight at less than a weeks notice against supposed prospects.

Ok, he has the odd off night, and is sometimes beaten by the better man (chaglev) but all in all he is still a very decent Euro level heavyweight (better than his rating of 21st). And to think Fraudley is rated higher!!!!

Within the last year he has fought Chaglev, beat Virchis (forget the decision) and now beat another "hot prospect" in his own back yard. That's top bombing.

He can duff up fat Carl Baker in quick fashion, then bring on Scott Gammer. He is a poor mans Virchis, and Sprott will school him imho.

Good result for sprott, with the right management he could have gon far I recon, would be good to see him fight a name for some dosh but the L10 on his record don't bode well sadly.

Sprott seems popular in Germany, he's boxed there enough times to be considered a local by now.

One judge gave it to the German by a big margin, but the crowd booed loudly after that one was announced.

I'm glad he keeps going over there trying to win. It'd be very easy for him to show up, pick up a cheque and then fall over. They obviously don't mind him over there as they keep inviting him back.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in against Gammer, but is it going to be worth his while? He must be getting a decent wedge over in Germany.

I'll make it my business to find out and let you know. Les Stevens from Pinewood Starr is a friend of mine as is Bob Jury of Reading ABC. both have shows regularly in Reading, so i will pm you with dates and venues.

Didn't know but apparently Sprott received point deductions in the 10th and 12th for headbutts.

Here's Sprott's one rounder with Corrie Sanders. He actualy hurts Sanders before getting caught on the counter. And the ref stops it too early as well.

He's a well-schooled throwback heavyweight. A good fighter and like someone mentioned, he's not the biggest of heavyweights. Losing doesn't send him into an almighty spiral of mental anguish – he dusts himself off and just gets back in shape for his next fight.

Good win for a good fighter.
