Wouldn't mind getting the whole fight.

HW's have been boring but I won't complain if theres a KO. :TU:

Maybe Warren should get Briggs for Skelton if he keeps promising a title to him.

It was supposed to have been a complete snoozefest - apart from the last minute of the last round. Crowd booed throughout and neither fighter did much at all.

Appalling refereeing, should have been stopped after the first knockdown.

Arent you supposed to be saved by the bell in the last round? Hence even if he was out cold he should have won?

Briggs should thank his chemist as those roids obviously paid off.

Actually you would 'mind' if you see it, it was arguably the worst fight EVER. On a level playing field with Malinga v Reid

Horrendous!

Those 2 guys made Ruiz look like Muhammed Ali in comparison. That's how bad it was! :TU:

I think alot of the ruling bodies changed that rule, so you couldn't be saved in any round now.

here's a link to a bit more of the last round, includes 1st KD

Theres a KO in it though, so I don't mind some puking.

Watching HW's made me a Boxing fan.

Thanks for the link, interesting.

I know its the last round but they both look terrible. Any HW worth his salt should have decapitated Briggs for walking foward with his hands down. Even Williams has a shot at doing Briggs as does Skeleton

Never saw that coming....and there I was, hoping the Russian might be a decent enough fighter to bring back some respect to the heavyweights. He looked exhausted in that clip.

And looks like another dangerous referee is on the loose. After the 2nd KD, I was half expecting him to drag the Russian back into the ring by his feet, and wave Briggs in for the finish.

The HW division has NEVER looked so poor: 4 champions, all of them lucky to be there.

It's sad isn't it MW  I was hoping Liakhovich would win to add some stability. An ancient never-was like Briggs winning a world title just puts into perspective the sad state of the division today.

God the HW devision is deppressing, it is bad that harrison can't win a world title even when Briggs can  says a lot for Lewis's leggacy that someone who he despenced of quite easily can win a title all these years later.

It's a sad cliche i know and it's pretty boring but it really is depressing at the moment, the lack of continuity means low class fighters are swapping belts in dire matches. Hope Klitschko can hold his own and KO Brock to restore some sanity.

Oh and Briggs to lose his belt in the first defence :TU:

who prommots briggs if its anyone any good then they will put him in against someone who is no great shakes but with good names on his record. Hard to say who though.

Yeah that's what I thought.... maybe doesn't apply in the WBO rules...

Ref called it off - it'll have to go down as a TKO.

I watched some Lennox Lewis stoppages on Youtube earlier. I forgot how good he was. Certainly compared to todays crop.

Should LailaAlikovitvch have had 20 seconds to get back into the ring?.

I think so!

The issue was the guy was in no fit state even though he didn't have to continue Briggs had done enough.

As bad as Danny have Skelton have been, do you give them a chance vs Briggs.

I know what a 17 stone Danny would have done, but jesus even the 20 stone fighter might stand a chance the last time I saw Briggs fight - which was vs Mercer.

He is practically as slow and lethargic as Danny and not that secure around the whiskers.

Danny has a punchers chance at 20 stone, at 17st he'd spark Briggs.

Skelton would beat Briggs too.
