Nuff respect if he is willing to take the fight though he could well have just fought bell at cruzer who is proberbly an easyer fight styalisticly for him. :TU:

The point is, Bell may not be at cruiser depending on the outcome of superfighter, hence mormeck in march as opposed to bell Mormeck by end of feb.

Still a good fight for him to be taking anyone know if its true.

Why are Superfighter selling Cruiserweights as Heavyweights?

Bells just waiting around for paydays.

Haye would need to be at his best for Mormeck the inactivity of Mormeck could be an advantage for Haye.

I agree on Bell.

This man has SHAMED his titles and deserves to have them stripped.

What is it with every fighter who gets "universal" recognition?

Why is that a signal to avoid fighting the best in their weight class?

That said, this is great news. While Bell gets bounced around by has beens/never weres, we have the chance of a major fight in Britain. Mormeck's time has been and gone, but he will either make or break Haye.

To be fair to bell its don king thats been mucking around with the bell mormeck match up, he won the purse bids. As for taking the fight in superfighter. Prize money is 9m, he hasnt fought since january, mans gotta eat and pay his bills.

maybe, but he ducked Cunningham, ducked Dale Brown rematch, foresakes a Mormeck rematch for Superfighter

What happens if you don't win the tournament? How much do they get paid then?

8 heavyweights, one night, 4 rounds with amateur type scoring (if it goes distance its points for punches in target areas etc...), knockout competition.
9m prize fund, i think the winner gets 5m, so runner up maybe 2m; semi finalists maybe 750k and maybe 350k for first round exitees - or something, good money anyway.

I think competing are ... Chris Byrd, Oliver McCall, O'Neil Bell, Juan Carlos Gomez, Jameel McCline, Sinan Samil Sam and Tye Fields.

As for mormeck forsaking the rematch in favour of superfighter. The WBC strongly support superfighter and told Bell he could compete, don king didnt confirm a date for the mormeck fight and now its run on and on and on the two have clashed. Bell will get circa 350k for loosing in the first rd of superfighter, a mere 4 rounds work! What would his paycheck be for mormeck 2?

I fail to see anything 'super' about this tournament.

Don't forget Herbie Hide. He's in it with Gomez. The card they were on fell through and they joined Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Champion Edition

Mormeck is a real tank, Haye will have a difficult night, dangerous to try and bomb him early, but also dangerous to let the fight go longer as Mormeck will keep coming at him.

But JMM is looking slow & bloated. Not to mention he's been inactive

I cant really see how Haye will beat Mormeck. Mormeck has a rock solid chin and is a tough nut, Haye's power is overrated IMO. And I can't see him having enough in the tank to beat Mormeck in a long fight. I think early is his best and only chance but I cant see him bombing Mormeck out early.
