Is this confirmed? I can't see Power winning a return.

i reckon martin had too many fights in a short time but now his had a bit of a break i reckon he will be able to beat munyai

IMO I think Power can win....

With the 1st fight coming a little too soon after the Ward fight...
Tshifhiwa Munyai being an unknown not knowing too much about him
And maybe underestimated...
Power was looking for the big punch last time out and tired alot quicker then normal.
Power will now know that Fast combinations will win this fight for him.

God knows why Frank Warr_en doesn't grab Asiku, Munyai and Olusegun & groom them for world titles. He wanted to do big things with Harry Simon, I recall.

So boxing news was wrong about Munyai wanting Napa then.

Why would Warren want to sell Africans and groom them to world titles?

I see that martin power v ian napa has been put to purse bids and the fight will take place in march 2007 for the british title.

Cos they have exciting styles, they look super fit, very polished considering the early stage they're at, won't take their success for granted due to thier humble beginnings, and show genuine world class promise.

I mean, just look at the Munyai-Haskins fight. Haskins comes in over confident, cocky, gets a hammering and then admits "He needs it more than me".

Apparently, Warren regularly goes on about how great Hairy Simon could've been.


But obviously the British public wants cocky protected white boys who are brought along agonizingly slowly and sit on their titles.

Kevin Mitchell bores the hell out of me, and shows less promise IMO.

For me, if there is the potential, there is no way that it shouldn't be tapped into. If they are quality, there is always a market for it.

Then again, those guys would probably get the Mbaye treatment.

How has he had too many fights? He fought twice in 2005 (May and November) and twice in 2006 (May and June). He should have stayed busier than he has been instead of fighting every six months and then fighting one month afterwards. Why did he do this? Aren't you his nephew or something? You should know.

He won't go past British level but he does put on good little scraps. The British Super Featherweights are good at the moment.

Mitchell should go to European level at least. I still think he's a pretty good fighter. Some great potential match ups domestically with John Murray and Amir Khan.

Munyai will take Power apart again. Power's people mustn't like him very much to throw him back in with this guy. Munyai is genuine quality while Power is not. This will simply be comfirmation of this.

Agreed, I also thought Power got lucky in a couple of his fights before that. I had both Robinson & Napa beating him narrowly. Neither of them were a complete robbery, but Napa almost stopped Power (despite have zero KOs on his record) so it was just going to be a matter of time before somebody else did.

Just have feeling it will be different this time,normally learn from mistakes and come back stronger.Power fighting both of these guys in next 4 months so we will see.

Looks like the bantams want to fight anyhone but Munyai. Power v Napa, as opposed to Munyai-Napa, or Munyai-Power II.

Without a bloody title, where would Munyai be?

A list should be chalked up of all the guys that are ducking them.

Nicky Cook can either gun for Asiku's Commonwealth title or shoot for that fake WBU vs someone. Wonder which route he goes. I will laugh if he goes for the WBU, because before a big fuss was made that he went the traditional route for real belts.

That Rutherford's handlers made a big fuss at being given a shot at the Commonwealth title. Now jackson's off the show. & Rutherford is fighting Choi ?? for a WWE title, on the same card.

Now Napa fights Power instead of Munyai. And Power fight Napa instead of Munyai


If Warren got hold of these guys, there would be way better shows than Earl-Ramirez // mitchell-Ashie and Hobson-Polakovic

Absolutely, no one thought anything of Munyai before he beat Power. He wasn't even rated highly in South Africa.

But I think he took the fight at very late notice.

Looks like a cracking fighter to me. Only 21 yo and he looks mature and powerful.

What would you think of Munyai fighting Damaen Kelly?

Cook has already won the Commonwealth title, so he has gone the traditional route.

I thought it was Asiku's team who pulled out as they thought they could get a fight with Nicky Cook if Harrison couldn't fight him.
