Just noticed this fight is on for Friday, couldn't Olusegun find a welter or light welter to go in with him?
Monteiro is a career light-middle and has a good chin, he's not the most skilled but will be a good to go.

Shame its only over 6 rounds, surely both these boxers would benefit a longer bout.

Yeah i think Ajose Olusegun has had trouble getting people from this country to fight him.I feel it's a good thing for Ajose that it is only over 6 rounds because Monteiro as the bigger man would be stronger over the longer distance.
Ajose to win on points by about 4 rounds.

I'd like to see Ajose get a shot at M'Baye for the WBA title think he'd give him a good run for his money.

Ajose needs to be a bit more compact, tighten up a bit. In his last 2 fights there have been some pretty major improvements. If only he could get top British level opponents. Would love to see him versus Bami. A few fights like that & he'd be ready for Witter.

How good is Olsegun. I think he unfortunate to be African otherwise he would be euro champ

IMO he's better than Witter and Hatton were at the 18 fight stage.

I really liked what I saw from Olesegun last night. If he's built up the right way then I'd say he's definitely world class. The ideal next fight for him would be someone like Bami or another top domestic fighter, then either a shot at Witter or whoever holds the European belt at the moment.

I think Bami has the EBay belt. Olusegun won't be able to get a fight, as technically he's not European.

He will be ducked till the end of time. Didn't Daws pull out last minute, leading to Olusegun-Numbembe?

i've never seen the guy fight but have followed his progress since he came out of olympics & believe he could benefit from a brief spell in the states, to at least raise him up to the stage where he could challnge for a world belt---euro or commonwealth aspirations seem to be setting the bar too low for a guy like olusegun!!

right now, he'd have a great develppment if only the top domestic fighters would face him. Lenny Daws, Colin Lynes, Ted Bami. But none of those will share the ring with him.

Same with the featherweight Jackson Asiku. Another excellent fighter.

Best bet would be for Warren to sign them up, but he seems to prefer fighters whose faces fit.

People can come out with all sorts of reasons why they can't fight them, but it all comes down to pathetic ducking that makes the best of Britian look like shit scared duckers.

that's exactly why i said he needs an extended trip to the usa, since he wont have any trouble finding comp that will help him fulfill his potential...

He would definitely find ppl to fight & test him.

Despite his skills, he'd still be a 'who needs him' type. Africans don't seem to have any kind of fan base. The best African in years - Quartey - has been treated like shit by referees and judges. Those old American judges come down hard on Quartey. If not for shit judging, he would've been one of the great welters.

He's hot alright. Needs to face a world class rival who is also "on the up" to really prove to the world how good he is. Love his interviews . No messing about and seems sincere in backing his promises up.
