To decide the best fighter from Mexico. You might expect to see Barrera's, Morales' and Oivares' on a poll like this, but I think it's fairly obvious that Chavez and Sanchez are the top picks.

I think Chavez has more accomplishments under his belt, however Sanchez was the superior fighter.

It is a shame we didn't get to see more of Salvador Sanchez but in my opinion he was the best. Chavez should be second followed by Ruben Olivares. Chavez did accomplish more but Sanchez was technically superior and did have a granite chin.

JCC accomplished more, but he also was given the opportunity at a full career. Sanchez was a terrific fighter on the absolute verge of greatness when he died. Give Snachez the same opportunities Chavez had, Salvador goes down as one of the best top 5 all time.

Although it's just speculation, i've always felt the same way. There are many great Mexican fighters. With a good argument, some could say Ricardo Lopez is the greatest Mexican fighter. It is all really a matter of opinion, but in my opinion, Salvador Sanchez has been the greatest fighter to come out of Mexico in terms of skill. As i've mentioned, in the time he was here, he managed to do enough to be considered a great, we'll never know how far he could have gone, but we do know that in the short time he was here, he went pretty far.

Julio Cesar Chavez in terms of accomplishments and historical impact is the greatest Mexican fighter ever. Hands down.
