Who will win this one the fast improving Taylor or the more experienced Hare.
Im going to put my neck out and say Talor.

I can't understand why there is such an obsession to put this match on. It's been slated several times I think. It's a fair enough match, but it's kept falling through, why persist?

Anyway, Hare should win this one, even though I think James is on the downward spiral. Lloyd-Taylor is useful when the mood takes him, but he appears decent Area level, where as Hare should still have enough left to deal with him.

No not a mate just noticed an improvement. In all fairness his loss to ben Hudson was at the beginning of his career. He had only had 10 or so amateurs, and Hudson use to be a journeyman that would give it a go. Symonds didn't knock him out, he ran out of steam at the end of the 5th of a scheduled 8, again early on, which suggests a lack of experience at the time.
Alas. I think this is a well match contest for the level these two fighters are at, at the moment,being that Hare is slightly on the decline and Taylor seems to be on the up.

I like James Hare, a good boxer and a nice person - One thing strongly in his favour has been his abilty to stop opponents which has made him exciting to watch - However I think he has found his level and cant go much further - I would like to see him get another chance at the British title though - Its a tough division to be in and you have to be very special to succeed in it - James is good, but not sadly special enough - He may be in decline, his next two fights should decide that - I hope not

Sadly James does look to be in decline - A couple of years ago he would have won the fight easily - Maybe 8 rounds would have seen a different result, but only maybe - Decision time for James I think.

I only saw the last 2 rounds & Hare looked like he had the kid's measure. He must have had a very slow start. Over a longer distance his fine boxing probably would've got him the win.

I scored it 3 rounds apiece. Hare started badly and lost the first 3 but came back once he got into his groove. Unfortunate to lose the fight imo and over the 8 rounds that his team wanted the fiht to be contested over he'd have won the fight. But why did they bow to the other guys teams demands and fight a 6 rounder? Makes little sense and it cost Hare here.

It is sad to see Hare dropping down to 6 rounders - Did he do this just to get a fight?

I'm still surprised the way Barnes handled him with relative ease, and Hare has never looked the same since.

Some where along the line it has gone wrong for james, and I am scratching my head wondering where.

I didn't think that James looked all that bad for the last few rounds at the weekend, although I thought that the decision was correct. Hare just didn't seem to warm to it until it was too late.

I'd hold off on writing Hare off though. He showed that the ability and the cuteness is still there in patches. There's still definately winnable fights for him around the domestic scene, if the first couple of rounds poor performance was just down to the lay-off.

I think his problem is that he doesn't appear to be the most naturally strong of fighters, I remember how easily Barnes was able to bully him during that fight. It's something that cost him against Rivera too. He's just not a big man for this division, and as such he'll always struggle when faced with big welters.

I scored it 4-2. Taylor looks quite good.

I don't think Hare has the hunger for the game anymore, over the last couple of rounds he looked ok, but it was to late then.

Fair play to Lloyd-Taylor. He steppted up to the plate, boxed well and fully deserved his win.

Hare's timing was out, it seemed to me, and only really got into his groove in the last two rounds. Lloyd-Taylor wobbled him terribly at the beginning and kept his composure through most of the bout to seal a terrific win.

Can he build on this, or will it prove to be his career best win?

Hare should win, when he's on form he's one of the best prospects in this country but the consistency just doesn't seem to be there with him for some reason. There's always a question mark over which Hare will turn up, but when he's there you know he's there

Lloyd-Taylor looked shattered in the last round, and that was in a fight where he was bossing the pace, so he may have problems in a longer fight.
