Obvuiusly its not gonna happen now with Franks fragile mental health, but 6 months prior to his breakdown Frank was being lined up for a comeback... he wanted to fight Audley!

Bearing in mind he was 42 (yet still had a great physique) how well would he have done?

Whilst not worrying the top heavyweights he still clould have made an impact on teh british scene. though limited amonst the elite Franks certainly clobbered 2nd and 3rd tier fighters.,

Audley?, Williams?, Sprott? Skelton? Hide?

How would he have fared against them?

It would have never happend, Bruno was in no mental state to fight. This was around the time that he said he wanted to fight Lennox Lewis and have Michael Barrymore as the referee.

He was clearly on something and was suffering a breakdown - just his comments went public.

Had he actually had been given his licence, then I would expected him to do a McCall and have an in ring breakdown after the opening session of his first comeback fight.

One big punch from Bruno even now at 45 would probably deck Harrison!

Ok my predictions.

Harrison W12 Bruno
Williams or Skelton would beat an old Frank on KO

An old Frank would have KO'd Hide and Sprott

Didn't Big Frank go down to 12stone while on the crack? Bruno-Calazage anyone

Audley should have taken that advice!

It's impossible to say how good Frank would have been in 2003, he always looks in good shape but that means nothing. As someone who had a few hard fights and took a fair bit of punishement vs Tyson and Lewis in particular, I think he was better off staying retired I doubt he had much left.

That sums up Audley. He has skill, but if he were less cautious and more aggressive, he would be a contender, maybe even a champ by now.
He should have beaten Williams on paper, but was too timid

Frank in 03 probably didnt have agreat deal left. But syill enough to beat Harrison on points. Ha!
I think he would have lost to Williams and Skelton and probably beaten Hide by breathing on him to get a KO

dont agree at all, frank bruno - love him or not - was a cut above all those you mentioned, dont you remember his fight with lennox?

A prime Bruno was good enough to beat most contdenders but not good enough to be a true world champ.
He was better than Herboe Hide who was a 2 time WBO champ.

Bruno should have gone for that belt, Bruno could handle Division B fighters who challenged for that title (Bowe/Klitschko aside).

I think Tommy Morrison would have flatterned him personally.

i agree with both the previous - but after lewis he is still way ahead of the recent brit heavies.

Bruno would of whooped Klitschko.

Vitali could only beat anyone he can get on top of.

Bruno's badly underated IMO, even in the UK.

As for his 'comeback' your forgetting two key things. 1- it was a One-Fight deal purely to beat up Audley, not get himself back in the British mix with Williams, Skelton etc, 2- Frank was saying a lot of strange things at the time and might not have really understood what he was doing, which i think is likely.

As for a fight with THIS Bruno, Harrison would likely get roughed up early but outlast Bruno. Of course, even a aged Bruno can go the distance against a man not fighting back and just holding, soooo.....?
