Might be Emile Griffith, what with all his 339 championship rounds. Archie Moore and Sam Langford have the best resumes though in my opinion, Moore just in front. Moore in particular faced more elite slick boxers than just about anybody; Booker, Marshall, Charles, Pastrano, Williams, Burley, Ali, Johnson, Patterson, as well as a number of others like Maxim, Bivins, (Cocoa) Kid, Chase etc.

Len Wickwar had 465 total bouts and a hell of a lot of rounds!!!
Wildcat Monte had 365 total bouts and a lot of rounds as well.
Young Griffo fought 1647 total rounds that I counted.

They sure had a lot of fights, but not nearly the quality of opposition of Moore (my choice for #1). Six fights with Jack Chase, two with Holman Williams, three with Ezzard Charles, three with Joey Maxim, five with Jimmy Bivins, another five with Harold Johnson and one a piece with Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali, Rocky Marciano and Willie Pastrano, must be the equivalent to about 10, 234 fights against nobodies. I didn't even mention Lloyd Marshall, Teddy Yarosz, Eddie Booker, Shorty Hogue or Cocoa Kid! I could talk about Moore's resume all day, it just fascinates me...

Give me a list of their best opposition Barry, I'll see if I can match it with Moore's.

Frizie Zivic also had an impressive resume and tons of exp.
Among others, he had multiple fights with three pfp top ten all time greats in Robinson , Burley , and Armstrong.
