Hi guys (& girls?),

Having recently moved house and kitted out the new study, I have come to the realisation that a clear-out is needed, and one of the things which is going to go is my proud collection of Boxing Monthly magazines.

I have every (I think) issue since March 1995, with 5 or 6 years-worth in the collectors binders.....plus some special supplements, all the way up to the end of 2006

Any idea on what they are worth - would anyone be interested? I'm open to offers, advice, and opinions.

Interested but no idea what they're worth...

I'll give you £10 for the lot.

It wll be difficult to get much for them, and you'll probably be limited to pick up only as postage would cost a fortune.

In standard parcels you can send upto 20kg for around £12 I think. However be cautious of using paypal without a method of tracking/signing for the goods as the buyer could rip you off by iniating a paypal chargeback.

I know a dealer who was asking 35- 40pounds for individual years of Boxing Monthly.

Funny, was going to suggest 40 quid as an offer.

To be honest though, I have doubts how often I'd even look at them. Old boxing magazines aren't really of that much use to me as I'm not doing any writing right this minute.

Ooooh, that sounds good. Now 40 pounds times 10 years, carry the zero, minus the one, carry the 6 over etc etc....makes about 400 quid. I'd knock a hundred off for knowing they were going to a good home.

Blimey, well I must admit I'd kinda hoped for "something" for them, but for 40 quid I'd keep them to be honest...... or I'd give them to someone I know would look after them and cherish them - like an amateur boxing club or youth-club, or library or something.

If anyone offers me 250 upwards I'd invite em round my house, lay-on some food and drink and help carry them to the car. For 10 quid, or 40 quid, I guess i'd warm-up the loft a bit with the box full of them ;)
