OK, it's one of the best, if not the best match-up in British boxing. Two big punchers, two shaky chins. They've got very similar C.V.'s, but who do you think wins if they meet? Naturally, they won't, but let's pretend boxing works like any sensible sport.

Personally, I've always tipped Maccarinelli, although I think he'd have to climb off the floor to do it. I think that deep down, he's the one who really wants it. Which is not a knock on Haye's ability. I just see the Welshman as the one who'd dig deeper if they ever met. But with Haye giving perhaps the best display of his career this weekend, and with Enzo now able to call himself a 'world champion', let's have your views gents.

david has got better but a chin never really improves that much...
and unfortunately enzo would have him dancing the crazy chicken in double quick time in my opinion

Sad to think that it's never going to happen. Ever. The route that Haye is going down takes him away from Macca, and although I don't think there is all that much between them as fighters they are drifting further and further apart in terms of career paths.

Not one to avoid a poll, I went for Maccarinelli. I'm surprised at just how easy to hit Haye has been during his last couple of matches. He's the better man in terms of natural talent, but he's got some glaring deficiencies. Macca's defence just looks a little tighter. Enough to maybe make the difference with two chinny bangers.

I think Haye looks very uncomfortable when he gets hit, but its whoever lands big first. It wouldnt last three rounds

Enzo has only ever beaten an array of domestic journeymen.

Haye by KO, inside 6 rounds.

Its the best fight in British boxing IMO (along with Witter-Hatton), it's a great fight for the fans.

I've picked Haye in the poll, he's the quicker of the 2 and I reckon he lands the BIG BOMB first.

I voted Haye but its a 50-50 either way KO written all over it. Hayes faster and seems to have better technique, Mac is more of a proven warrior and each aren't that difficult to tag clean. Haye has stamina problems and wastes allot of energy if it goes past the mid rounds Mac would KO him. I think early either could KO each other. Would be an exciting fight as long as it lasted

I would have picked EM before friday's fight and that showing by Haye did nothng to disuade me of my initial leanings

I was impressed that Haye did not fold when cut ( reminded me a bit of Hatton/Thaxton ) but he looked so open that he was lucky that the Italian had a low KO record.

Anyone who can really bang and is not going to stay at arms length where Haye is at his best, is going to beat Haye.

I also wonder how that cut is going to heal up. It looked like a bad one.

My call? A late mid round stoppage for EM

IMO Maccarinelli could never have stopped Fragomeni the way Haye did.

You can tell by the way the respective opponents have gone down that Haye hits significantly harder. Plus the reason Enzo had to go to the body for all the knockdowns against Delaney was because he couldn't hurt the guy to the head! Something Haye achieved with one shot.

Haye is the better fighter by far in terms of ability.

Both have question marks over their chin,and given how hard they hit,any fight between these two would be great to watch.

Haye has earned a shot at the number 1 man in the division,so why would he fight Enzo?
Who exactly has Enzo beat? In my eyes he is still a prospect.Forget the WBO belt he was given(biggest joke in boxing by the way!)he still has a lot to prove.

The only way I can see this fight happening is if Haye gets destroyed by Bell,and he looks for a way back by fighting Enzo.
If Haye beats Bell,he will move onto bigger and better things in the heavies.

If it ever did happen,I would tip Haye's extra quality to shine through,and get Enzo out of there within 7 rounds.

Enzo's too easy to hit and when Haye hits he doesn't mess about

Haye will KO him after 2 or 3 rounds aslong as he doesn't get caught with a daft shot (which is always possible when someone hits like these two).

Both have power and suspect chins. But I think the difference is Enzo actually has a defence whereas Haye fights with his hands down. Haye would get caught plenty and stopped IMO unless he actually works on some defence.

Would be a great fight I think Haye has a better proven record against better fighters than Enzo and is now about to win a real title.

Thompson was exastion (which he seems to have overcome to an extent going by this weekends result) and Mock was a temple shot which a lot of people can go down from.

I fail to see how Haye will beat Mormeck or Bell coming off that showing last weekend. He did what he had to do but was eating shots all night from a much smaller slower guy and a total non puncher. I'll happily be proved wrong as I'd like to see Haye do well but both the afforementioned would stop him IMO.

When Enzo comes in with a few shots his chin is left out to dry, Haye would catch him coming in and knock him out.

Quite agree. The Italian was a poor mans version of Mormeck. Haye wouldn't last long eating right hands from him or Bell.

haye is too fast on the draw for enzo.

enzo tends to stand off a little as well and that'll give haye the room to explode em.

Haye wouldn't got to war with Enzo, Haye would get Ko'd by Enzo.

Add into the mix what we know from the Lolenga Mock fight (i.e. he can be hurt by a light puncher), and the fact he is reluctant to keep a basic guard, and you have a recipe for disaster.

That's what make Enzo V Haye such an interesting fight. Haye is a better quality operator overall, but I think he has more chinks in his armour.

I still went for Haye though. Haye to weaken Enzo over 6-8, then stop him later on.
