As far as im aware the BBBoc have suspended his licence till a meeting in January following his recent court case.

I would imagine he will just be on a rolling contract till this meeting next year.

He's suspended until a hearing in January with the BBBoC, its about his recent court conviction.
maybe its a way of keeping up a good level of fitness, and i expect he'll pick up a few quid as well.

His licence is suspended untill he completes his community Service and being paid £1,500 a match for a conference kick about will do in the meantime.

A mate of my late uncle's, Les Strong, used to play for England, and he has mates at the Walton Casuals football club in surry, a tiny club. The chairman was telling us that he knew George Weah quite well, and that he was looking for a bit of football as he was missing it, and he contacted him about playing for Walton.

Trouble was, Weah was looking for 10,000 a game plus a bonus of 2000 a goal!

Don't think Les Strong ever played for England. He was a shit right back in the seventies and never ever played top flight.

He was definetly in the England squad for a while. How long, I don't know, before my time really.

Yes, it will almost certainly be a short term pay-as-you-play deal. Actually I'm not sure if Rusden are still a full time club, or if they've gone back to being semi-pro. If they are semi-pro it could be a much more loose arrangement than it first appears.

Absolutely no way he won a full England cap or was in the full squad for a length of time. At best it would have been squad for one game when they were desperate but never played an international.

Perhaps he did play at Under-23, level or youth. In the 70s, U-23 caps were thrown around for fun with lower league players getting chances.
I haven't any football record books but check it up mate if you can.

The nearest he got to England was as the great Bobby Moore's drinking partner when they played at Fulham together.

Meant to say he was a left back not right back. He was rank. Played a load of games for Fulham then went to Palace.

Poor old Les, never realised he was so shit, feel a bit delfated as he was something of a legend amongst the family circle.

Woodhouse has joined Rushden until he get's his licence back.

He banged on about how he was glad to be out of football and he was fed up etc not so fed up he goes straight back for the money when he gets suspended for fighting with police. If Woodhouse wasn't associated with Sports Network you would be having a field day on him no doubt.

In fairness Steve he might not have a lot of choice he's got to earn a crust somehow.

That's fair enough nick i can take your point. Not too fussed on Woodhouse after reading a few interviews, maybe i was being a bit unfair.

Is Woodhouse fighting in Sheffield tonight?

I'm a Blades fan and Woodhouse never played for the England senior side or made the squad. He played many times for the England U21s before he lost his way.

He made his debut for Sheffield Utd at 17 and looked to have a big future but it wasn't to be.
