I can get numerous prices on tepid domestic stuff and pointless Amir Khan scraps, but not a nickle on a genuine 50/50 world title fight.

Tut tut for shame.

Stan James, the premier boxing bookie (along with B365) havent got a foggy. The fella on the phone said "Erm, we havent got prices cos Skelton is injured" (despite me explaining in advance it was SCOTT Harrison I was referring to. After re-explaining this, he admitted that their boxing market framer was on holiday, and they'll bet based on other bookies.

B365 have tentatively suggested that they might have prices by tomorrow night.

Come on guys, Betfair have a market up and running, sort yourselves out!

Why bet on even money fights anyway? There's never any serious profit to be made on it.

Abbo their doing you a favour, anyone who would vote on such an unpredictable fight needs an injunction from their bank manager!

Two things that mean I am duty bound to bet on this one:

1) I wrote in a piece in January that Cook would win a World Title this year.

2) I feel certain that Harrison is ready to be gently pushed over the edge into oblivion.

I HAVE to bet on this fight, and bet like a man too.

They probably haven’t gone up with the odds because of the uncertainty over Harrison’s conditioning.
I still reckon he’ll be fav based on his record though.

Perhaps 4/7 Harrison, 6/4 Cook.

Paddy power have Harrison 4/9 and Cook 13/8 , 25/1 the draw.

Audly and Williams are both 5/6 .

I'm on a roll betting on underdogs, had a nice win last week with Carrera beating Castillejo, at odds of 6/1 .

So my tip for a possible upset is Peter Okhello to beat Maskaev, odds of 13/2.
Maskaev is on a roll and will start a big favourite , but he has been KO'd 5 times, and Okhello can punch

that's not a bad shout at all. Maskaev is very beatable.

I think this is a much better option than betting on close fights. Picking underdogs with favourable odds, who are genuinely in with a real chance of causing an upset. Problem is, in this case, Okhello couldn't stop Mirovic last time out, and Maskaev's defeats have all come against much better fighters. That doesn't bode well. I personally wouldn't take this one at 13/2, but if Okhello goes out a touch it might be a tempter.

Maskaev was KO'd by Corey T-Rex Sanders he's no better than Okhello.

Okhello has stopped Bob in a previous encounter, and the Aussie has just extended Samil Sam as well, so his chin isn't the worst.
I just think that Oleg is vunerable in the first 3 rounds, his defeat at the hands of Whitaker stands out for me, he was complety out by one punch, and Whitaker isn't a noted puncher.

I don't bet big amounts, so i usually look to get a decent enough underdog with a good price .

Fair enough Topper. I agree, Maskaev is vulnerable, it's just that I'd like to see the price go out a little though, I don't see it as being particularly generous given that Okhello is away from home too.

Nick, I'll concede that. Sanders isn't hugely better than Okhello. Actually, looking at their records at the time of the fights against Maskaev, there is little to choose between the two.
