peter mc donagh goes down to super feather in 2007

If Peter McDonagh moves down to super feather he will clean up. He'll have too much for the likes of Mitchell and Co. I believe his win over Gomez is just the beginning, but it will be a shame if he leaves the lightweights because believe he can reach the top in that division, he just needs to be given the chance.

Did you see the fight? it was not dodgy, Mcdonagh broke his heart, Gomez throw everything he could in the 4th & start of the 5th but Mcdonagh was still there & throwing back. Do you think it was dodgy because Gomez started to walk away? Alot of fighters would have turned away after being hit with that left hook to body he got caught with. Mcdonagh showed good instinks to not stop throwing and catching him with that right which put him over. If you havent seen the fight I suggest you get a copy of it because it was a good fight. Gomez was looking good but Mcdonagh always looked he had his number. Do you think it was dodgy because a boozed up Steve Collins thought so?. Peter Mcdonagh I believe has never had a manager or promoter, came in at last min on number of occasions and had many close fights go the wrong way if not been robbed more than once, he def beat David Burke and Rob Jeffies but was robbed but where are they now? and where is Mcdonagh? Mcdonagh is still here chasing his dream after all the knocks he's had, still believes in his destiny. How many others will be still chasing their dream when they take a knock back, how many fighters you seen disapear when the going gets tough for them? That is why I believe he will clean up....Desire

If McDonagh moves down to super feather he will clean up!!no offense but that's rubbish!!!!!!McDonagh is nothing special. Against Gomez, it took him at least 5 punches to knock him down and this is when Gomez's hands dropped and he didnt wanna fight anymore!!!!!!!!!

Gomez didnt want to fight anymore, yes your right and I believe thats because Gomez's punches wasnt having an effect on Mcdonagh but Mcdonagh's punches was having an effect on Gomez. it dosent matter if it took one punch or 100 punches to put him down or even if he didnt go down at all it was the impressive way Mcdonagh boxed all the way up until then and I believe Gomez was hurt by the left hook to body which started it of. Are you saying only people with one punch ko power can be special?? and what do you define as special? I would say someone like Mcdonagh who has gone throw rough times, never had a manager or promoter, been robbed time and again, being a massive underdog but coming out on top as something special more than most. I take it you saw the Gomez fight, if you also saw the David Burke and Rob Jeffries fight which I dont know if you did im sure you would begin to see where im coming from. Also how many boxers have you seen gone on their feet? they dont always go over straight away if at all when ko'd or stopped, Frank Bruno comes to mind. I respect your opinion and everyone does have differance of opinions and mine is Gomez was up for that fight and looked every bit at his best in the first 2 rounds but Mcdonagh is now on his journey which is long over due. one things for sure the rough ride he's had nothing will faze him on the way, thats why I think he'll come out on top because im not so sure the others wont be fazed as the majority of of superfeathers & lightweights have, although not all

I understand what you are saying but I honestly do not think that McDonagh will ever ever turn out to be a world class fighter.....I think the furthest he could go is prob British level. And even at British level it will be a struggle for him.
