I can't say I saw these 3 getting elected, though that's not to say they weren't excellent fighters. Personally I'd like to see a moratorium on admitting heavyweights, since there are already way too many.

I'm disappointed by the election of Godfrey, since there were so many more deserving fighters below heavyweight who haven't made it in yet.

I agree. While he won't be the worst fighter ever elected, he isn't as deserving as some others who haven't made it.
It was also disappointing to see Jose Suliaman make it. He has been bad for boxing.
Otherwise the selections were pretty good. Duran and Whitaker were obvious, and Montanez, Kid Norfolk and Lopez were good choices.

I'm really glad to see Montanez and Norfolk elected. Though I could name 100+ other non-participant people who deserved entry before Leroy Neiman. Neiman is in based on his paintings, but it should be the men that covered and wrote about boxing who should be inducted. Guys like Ted Carroll, Dan Daniel, Eddie Borden, Frank Bradley, the Murray who started the UK Boxing News in 1909 that is still being published today, Robert Edgren, hell, even Bat Masterson would be more deserving than someone like Neiman!
