Anyone know when Esham Pickering is boxing again? he did have world honours in his sights and also a rematch with Hunter but after his defeat by Dunne and rumour Hunter moving up in weight where does his sights lay now?

He is scheduled to be fighting Marc Callaghan at the begining of next year for the British title. But it seems to be quite tentatively set with not much publicity yet.

He told me last night he is fighting Callaghan on the 20th at Ally Pally.

Well if Pickering didnt let Hunter off the hook in the first two rounds it would have been a better result than Molitors win and anyhow ive seen fighters in lesser trouble than what hunter was and get stopped. There would have been no argument if it had been stopped

I believe he was asked to step in for Scott Harrison but (wisely) turned it down.

Esham as a champion went to the lions den with every thing against him on his last 3 title fights !! Madrad Hartlepool and dublin all maasively hostile i was there supporting him!!
Im hopin and thinkin his time will come at top level !!
And i know he feels that way!!
Does anyone think he can do anything after all his knocks???

there only one winner when he fights next marc cal will be british champion he has been looking great 8)

Pickering is determined to get his career back on track, I think there's a gulf between Dunne, Pickering and Hunter to the rest of the Super-Bantamweights in the country, but only time will tell.

Don't start this again, I know Dunne is Irish but he fights against British fighters, I was just saying there was a Gulf between Dunne, Hunter, Pickering and most of the other fighters in Britain if not Europe.

There certainly isnt a big gulf between Hunter and Callaghan. They drew their first fight where opinions was divided and their second fight was a war, one of the fights of the year in 2004 for the British title with Callaghans corner throwing the towel in in the 10th. It was toe to toe all the way. You wouldnt have a draw and one of fights of year between two boxers if there is a gulf between them. Hunter v Callaghan II wasnt televised which is a shame. Anyone know where or how I could get a copy? Fight took place at Hartlepool Borough Hall on 18/11/04, was joint top of bill with Kevin Bennett v Dean Phillips British lightweight title fight.
