RJJ no less Ian. Plus he made two defenses of the whole caboodle, earning him £2.19 after sanctioning fees.

Sorry james - I'm like a coiled spring in that direction, just waiting in the undergrowth waiting for people to start threads about Trinidadian female boxing champions.

Anyway, if we're talking alphabet mush, does anyone remember ages ago there was some thread that got onto the music the WBC plays in the Intro to its website? I swear there was one, only I couldn't find it searching through old posts.

Anyway, the WBA is fighting back with it's own festive version. How do you compare it to the WBC's thtme tune? http://www.wbaonline.com

Good find Ian, slow day at work was it? :D

A belt for each day of the week, colour co-ordinated as well? At this rate she's in danger of expiring during her ring walk, carrying all the belts in. Possibly she drives them to the ring in a jeep.

By the time the ring announcer gets through the full list of titles on the line, half the crowd will be asleep in their seats.

And I'd never noticed how many belts Roy had..surely that's some sort of bizzaro boxing record?

Sorry, but in my eyes Jones wasn't the real champion and didn't have the full set. I saw no WBU.

Very true gmonk. Of course, RJJ's reign shall be forever tarnished as he did not hold the WBU title, and as a result his undisputed status will always be challenged by Tony Oakey.

I wonder if this merits a Roy Jones ducked Oakey thread?

And DM for not fighting for those belts against the real champ and not winning the WBO. :TU:

That picture also raised the question.

Why do people wear hats sideways in a jaunty way.

Completely ineffective at keeping the sun out of your eyes.

Combined with back to front jeans in the style of Kriss Kross and you've got a world of trouble.

Every single belt Jones and entourage are holding is meaningless.

The only one he doesn't have is Grandad's money belt, which by the way stopped his gall stones showing up on the x-ray.

Did RJJ hold MORE than seven at once?

Anyway, now the Oakey situation has been rightly pointed out, I don't know what I ever saw in him.

Oakey wouldn't have had a sniff of a chance............oh I'm sorry, Christmas is usually a time for old material to get reworked....

Talking of titles...

...oh good grief...

A card on 23rd Dec in Ukraine will feature two fights for the EBU-Non EU title. I joke not. The next logical step for expansion has to be the non-european european title I guess.

What about the World Title for Astronauts not currently on earth?

Or the British Title for Immigrants.

The most worrying thing is that second one sounds fairly plausible. I hope nobody in any sort of power position reads that post.

Darius Snarksi v Rakhim Mangileev (sp)

I've seen some very strange title fights recently.

THE EBU-Non EU title!

The Nordic Title.

The Mexican/American/Canadian Title - Louis Monaco is current Heavyweight champion.

This is for fighters who are in Europe but not in the EU.

What's your problem? This sport NEEDS more belts! :TU:

We need an officially boxrec sanctioned belt.
