Rock isn't gonna out-muscle Liston, and he hasn't got the movement to avoid the jab.
The only advantage Rocky would have is fitness & heart, and Liston was well conditioned too, so Rocky's not gonna wear him down. Heart won't matter cause Rocky won't be able to ask that many questions of Liston. He'll be too busy eating punches. Plus his eyes would be stinging too much.

Rocky had the heart of 10 lions & the stamina of a marathon runner, but his come forward aggressive style, coupled with his lack of size would have seen him walk right into Sonny's hands.

Probably much, much sooner than that...'prime' Liston would not lose to a smaller pure slugger, too skilled, too hard hitting...and too mean...the meanest of all time...makes young Foreman & Tyson look like puppy dogs...

I can see the fight going either way, based on prime vs. prime. 50-50 bout all the way.
