Are the rating relevant anymore? Fighters listed in one alpha aren't even rated in another. Champs included. A champ in the WBA is persona non grata in the WBC. Even the Ring won't list the champion anymore? This really hurts. They used to stand for something. No more. The best heavyweights never meet. Their seems no attempt to unify titles. What can be done?

Ratings always helped to keep boxing interesting as long as you veiwed it from the standpoint they were like the weather, subject to change. They are just their pretty much to let you know who is hot and who is cold, plus it is fun for the fans. How can you take anything totally seriously when the ratings had guys like Tex Cobb in the top 10.

Yes, the fighters 9 or 10 were very subjective, but how can the champion of the WBA not be listed in the WBC's top 10? Are the fighters from the same planet? It is beyond absurd. These self serving organizations don't want their champions exposed as frauds, & the best way to do that is to ensure they never meet another alpha's best.

Ring magazine ratings are the only ratings I pay attention to.
