Thanks for that, interesting.

One thought that occured to me whilst watching it was that there are probably thousands if not millions of people in a similar situation with brain inuries caused by car accidents, serious falls, etc.

The fact is prior to the Benn fight, Gerald was doing what he freely chose to do and was expressing himself in the form he freely chose. . . boxing.
There are risks in boxing that might not necessarily exist in other sports but life is risk and these people that want boxing banned because it's dangerous etc. IMO simply want to control other people's will and choice to freely express themselves. :box:

rant over.

If the Ref had actually done his job I dont think this would of happened.

What do you think the ref should have done?
Good question. Alot of people criticize the ref for not stopping the fight when Benn was getting hammered. The fact that Benn was able to win the fight, shows the ref obviously made the right call.

was it a case of insufficient oxygen and other medical care at ringside? i read in a book that he suffered the injury in the preceding rounds, not in the KO. Dont know how true or verifiable that is

Well Dec You can tell the Ref was trying to give as much Time for Benn to recuperate I will say this had the G-Man been more patient and mixed it up to the body and head Even with the Ref Buying time He'd Get the Job done..
