I'm gobsmacked that it's ITV who are demanding options on Haye.

They've got the opportunity to broadcast this humungous fight which is a definate ratings success and they turn it down, becasue they can't get options on Haye.

I'm finding that hard to believe and if its to be believed then we have to assume from now on that SN have no clout in regards their relationship with ITV.

I think it's a fair point myself, TV companies should not be acting like promoters. The same point was raised in the US not so long ago, and it resulted in Jay Larkin of showtime cancelling the multi fight deals they had been giving fighters before.

This is a bad turn of events if a great fight doesn't happen because ITV want options on Haye's career.

If the fight doesn't go through, then they have lost out the opportunity to broadcast a fight which would have more than likely have been an exciting slugfest as long as it lasted.

I guess from their viewpoint, if Haye wins, then they've lost out because of Enzo's drop in stock.

So do we think ITV asked for options on Manfredo, or Lacy, or the next bodies they dig up for Khan & Enzo?

Lol that comment made me laugh. So according to a Welsh website on the main Boxrec links bit Allegedly is blaming Haye's team and no mention of ITV wanting any options. To be honest these sorts of depressing scenarios are all too commonplace, it's only really Japanese and German fight cards that are keeping my interest in Boxing right this moment.

Looks like ITV are pushing the options but i wouldn't put it past Warren to be a key factor in this move, and to have gained financially from this. Allegedly

With Woods, it was Warren surprisingly winning the purse bids. The fight was more about Glen Johnson, who was supposed to win and put his IBF title on the line for Calzaghe.

Yes, and as I said elswhere, as they have an exclusive contract with Warren and SN, how could they broadcast a fight featuring Haye, as he is not promoted by SN? Answer, they couldn't.

Warren read these forums and realised that most people are picking Haye to win. Warren shit himself then had to have options on haye's next fights. Warren wont take the risk . We all lose out. The only way to fight back is boycot his shows.

I doubt very much these forums had anything to do with him demanding options, he does it all the time. Who can forget the alleged offer of £50k with 3 options he made Mundine to fight Calzaghe!

Im not interested in watching shit fights, I just want to watch good ones. Watching Enzo blow away a bum with his sneeze is no good.

If ITV are asking for options then theyre doing so on behalf of Warren who is obviously pulling the strings!. Seems like Warren has less faith in Enzo than many of us on this forum, which is rather sad really.... 20 or 30 years ago losing a big fight like this wouldnt end your career, but obviously Warren doesnt want to risk being in the losers corner and has no time for fighters who cant keep a clean slate... and that is why competitve boxing is fast dying in this country of ours!... thanks frwank!...

Haye-Macarinelli has the potential to a real explosive fight, while it lasts. I do not think anyone would expect the fight to go the distance.

All the shit-talk about who's to blame, wanting options, whatever, just get the fight on. Can you imagine 'old timers'' coming out with excuses such as these. I don't think so!

I really hope Haye-Macarinelli does take place. I very much doubt it will though! It will be nothing sort of a miracle if both camps agree on everything for the bout to go ahead.

dont forget our main man Frank got paid to act as a "boxing consultant" by sky.... perhaps he has a similar role at ITV and is advising on options
