I think Nelson would have made Enzo look quite basic and won on points. But Enzo would have chased him around the ring all nite. Shame it never happened.

I think you could probably be sued for this kind of comment...... Interesting thought though. Personally, I doubt it. Plenty of scope to let Enzo win on the cards, rather than an outright purchase of the belt.

Hes completely changed the thread now. Now boxbet you won't get sued, the worst Fwanks done to anyone is threaten to sue them. Do internet sites scared of Fwanks lawyers realise what an asshole making anything stick and been bothered to follow through on it would be?

Anyway would it be worth anyones while paying Nelson to retire? No, as has been said it would be easier and better business to make the fight and pay 2 judges to score for Enzo.

Nelson didn't even want the fight anyway. He'd served his dues - in his 2nd boxing exile after the G Jones travesty - and wanted to cash in against Michalczewski (shot, but a massive name in Germany). I think he was glad to find a legitimate way out, because Warren and Enzo had (seemingly) got him when his heart wasn't in it and his refelexes were dulling a bit.

There was only one reason the fight didn't take place and that was the enormity of the knee injury Nelson sustained.
It it absolute crap to say Nelson didn't want the fight.
Back to the injury - it's the worst I've seen for ages, worse that the likes of Shearer, Owen etc.
When he said he was coming back I was amazed and at first thought it was a wind up.
However, he made incredible progress and put the puffter footballers to shame.
It was only when the medical people had to lay it on the line for him, that common sense prevailed.
The risk to his future health outweighed the need to go on.
