This could be a good fight and I may get a ticket for it. I remember Mckenzie being a KO puncher . How does anyone think this fight will go? Its for the Commonwealth Light Heavy belt.

McKenzie is one of the most improved boxers in the UK, from looking like he was going to be a tough journeyman type, he's trained hard and learnt along the way to turn his career around.
Francis has the skills, but i'm not sure he can hold of McKenzie for the whole 12 rounds, plus will Deans shoulder hold out against a rough tough boxer like McKenzie.

You'll need to be quick about getting a ticket, heard its nearing a sellout already.

Now back down at Light Heavy, if Dean's shoulder holds out - he should win. I aint seen his comeback but he is still relatively young and hasn't got much miles on the clock. Dean had world class skills before.

Wouldn't be great after all this time Francis and Woods do finally get it on.

The 2 times Dean has had to go a long distance in recent years against Barney and Eastwood his shoulder hasn't held up, and he's ended up fighting one armed.
McKenzie has a good chin and is supremely fit, so i don't see Dean taking him out early. If Deans shoulder was 100% fit i'd pick him to win, he's got great skills, and is one of the bravest boxers around.
But i just see him struggling with the shoulder again, and McKenzie throwing alot of shots to come through on points.

Its one of those fights where if your neutral you don't mind who wins, If Dean pulls it off it would be great to see him with a championship again. And if McKenzie wins then its good to see someone who's come up the hard way retain the belt.

A fully fit, two armed Dean Francis beats McKenzie all day long, but will the shoulder hold up?

Edit: Seen the Francis vs McKenzie fight (good coverage, much better camera work than the Channel 5 attempt) - its such a shame. The guy had tremendous skills and I think he could have been a long reigning champion. However, he looks a one handed fighter when fit.

Francis, I believe is a left handed authordox - but he was hardly using the right.... and this is when it is right. I'm surprised he has passed the board medical.

Have you seen the George Katsimpas fight on there?
