Yes, he did kick some ass, I still don't know quite how though. He just had zero culture, a poor defence, and those long, slow hooks. I'm glad his ability was put in some kind of perspective when he was outboxed, and outpunched by a faded Trinidad. Christ, Mayorga made Trinidad's footwork look almost Robinson like.

I think "The Viper" when he was primed an on, would give Mayweather a beating. Vernon is a pretty tall guy with skills at his prime. Mayweather is over rated.

I don't quite know who i'd favor. Forest had a great jab (when he used it) and he was naturally bigger than Mayweather, we'll see how Mayweather does at 154 against an older but great fighter in De La Hoya. Until then, it would be unfair to say Mayweather would win against Forest because Mayweather didn't face the same competition at welteweight as he did at lightweight. Still though, I have a feeling Mayweather would win this.

mayweather fights many styles imo. vs boxers he will fight, vs fighters he will box. the best thing about mayweather is hes versitle. he uses the opponents style to adjust his to win. its the best strategy to win is it not?.. verses slow fighters he will use his speed, vs fast fighters he will use his angles and pressure, vs brawlers he will use his legs and counter punching, etc... imo that is the reason why hes P4P best, cause he will beat his opponent the way he can be beat, instead of triing something stupid to look good.

add the fact that hes fighting guys much over his weight at the night of the fight, adds to his skills, cause not many can fight at weigh in weight.

My point entirely, runners have to be caught. Fighters dont, as they dont run in the first place.
