Nice PPV on Sat -Witter, Castillo, Hatton-Urango. Can't complain there.

Some nice domestic, esp Munyai-Power 2. Atomic Spider will be big some day.

But what else do we want?

More Japanese fights - Sky showed some good Japanese stuff over the last yr or 2. Martin Castillo, Veeraphol, Toku-Kawashima.

There's been loads of great Jap fights last year. All the lower weights action is there. So we should get more Japanese fare.

More heavyweights. When did Sky last show heavies? With Peter, Wlad and Valuec there's no excuse.

Don't stop showing us Cotto & Pac fights. Why did they shirk on Pac-Morales 3, Larios ; Cotto-Quntana?

I'm open to suggestions. I think we should bombard them with emails, because their form has been spotty at worst, inconsistent at best. Get our vices heard

I dont have any vices, well big tits aside.

More of the same in terms of quality fights domestically and live and recorded shows from the U.S.


The one thing I would like to see SkySports improve on is the editing of bouts . Just show the whole fight please.

I think they've been doing well, and looking at their listings are continuing to do so. We didnt get cotto quintana because we had (was it) Winky instead. COming up they have Barrera JMM live and also Mosley COllazo live.

EDIT: Agree with butch, also, repeat the whole show again at 8am. If you dont stay up to watch the 2am broadcast the likely event is you miss a lot of rounds from the undercard of that show.

Our money back from last year

I so agree about broadcasting the show as live in the morning. Sky's coverage of the live US bouts is second to none. Invariably, we get more fights than stateside viewers get and when its live you never get to see them cut rounds. Why can't they just repeat the whole thing.

They could improve their domestic coverage - for 2 hours timeslot we should get the main event and 2 other fights in full. I would rather than play 3 fights in full, than one fight full and one/two rounds of another 5-6 fights.

I was really looking forward to seeing Jason Booth's comeback - only for rounds to be cut off to make way for highlights of another fight.

Maybe if they brought back ringside to cover the undercard fights in full, as they used to do!

Major gripe is the lack of Heavyweight action. I am really looking forward to this Saturday's heavyweight title bout. I would be more chuffed if this as on the PPV than the Witter bill.

I would like to see title bouts where our other champion (Sky based) are involved in. We should get every Light Welter/Welter world title bout. We had some last year, but not all.

I don't think it is SkySports door we should also be knocking. What about Setanta, Channel 5 or anybody else shown a sniff of interest. Lets get more of these global PPV's from Setanta - lets get some very small hall shows from 5 or Setanta (a reduced PPV rate). McKenzie vs Francis should be available for us to view. Lets see these fighters that the likes of Tom Podmore rave about.

Just out of curiosity - due you think by the time we are in old folks home that US TV will be available in the UK? Obviously at a subcription, but of course that would fix all the problems - get Showtime and HBO etc on the Sky network.

Definetly stupot. It's got to happen, given that the proliferation of broadband and increasing bandwidth, pretty soon all TV will be sent down a pipe, even the satellite stuff will probably be beamed to a relay station and sent down the cable to your home.

Once this happens, there's absolutely no reason why TV cannot be global, but it will come down to local subscribers buying content from foreign networks, no way will they allow TV companies in America to broadcast direct to your living room without taking a cut.

Once this happens then we may see a dedicated boxing channel with the best of Fox, Showtime, HBO, ESPN, Sky, and the European boxing too. Now that really would be something. With the ability to digitally record and view stuff on demand you could have a situation where you could literally watch every boxing match broadcast worldwide after downloading it.

Happy days they will indeed be?

To think that as close as we once got was reading the ring magazine which was always 2 months out of date, or watching the big US fights on a Sunday afternoon.
