Tom P reports on BBN that Bami has vacated his European belt. Young Muttley will replace him, and fight for the vacant title against Branco in Italy.

Why did Bami vacate? Just didn't fancy the fight?

Excellent news (for Mutley and his fans), wonder what happened to Ted though? I hope sky pick this one up even if it's delayed.

Its always dodgy fighting in Italy if it goes to the scorecards, but hopefully Muttley will take the judges out of the equation

I've just taken it down - things might have changed but apparently the fight was only being mooted and hadn't been made as yet.

Hope it does though.

Dont understand why he'd vacate. Has he been offered step aside money I wonder?

how do we rate our 140lb division below Hatton and Witter, its a pretty hot division. I think Witter could do allot worse than fight Bami or Muttley if he gets by his next 2.

Bami has a shoulder injury and pulled out of the fight, it was mooted that Mutley may fight for the European title, but Bami's fight with Branco has been rescheduled for two-three months time.

Shame, would have been a good fight for Muttley. I am sure he would have given Branco a good scrap as will Bami when his time comes. I am sure Branco isn't too disheartened though, he should just wait around for his chance or maybe a world title opportunity will come his way in the mean time. After all he seems to get enough of them for some reason.
