Hatton and Urango both scale 139

Castillo 139, Ngoudjo 140!

IBF junior welterweight champion Juan Urango (17-0, 13 KOs) and former two-division champion Ricky Hatton (41-0, 30 KOs) both weighed in at 139 lbs. at Friday's official weigh-in for Saturday's big fight card at Paris Las Vegas. Also, former two-time champion Jose Luis Castillo (54-7-1, 47 KOs), who has notoriously had problems making in recent fights (at lightweight), weighed in at 139 lbs. for his WBC 140lb eliminator against Herman Ngoudjo (15-0, 9 KOs) who scaled in at the division limit. All fighters made weight on the first attempt.

So is seems likely Castillo purposely cheated against Corrales

It certainly looks like it. Having said that following the ban they might have got a nutritionist or such like on board.

Didn't know the Castillo fight was a WBC eliminator. Really, if he wins, he could go after Witter, then unify with Hatton!
Another thing, I don't think Castillo was cheating in the Chico fights, after all, he did come in as a light welter at the weigh ins for fights 2 & 3!

it is an eliminator but first the belt holder (witter probably) has to fight the winner of Harris-Lazcano (probably Harris). So it might be Harris-Castillo.
Further, Castillo has said he will fight Hatton as Hattons next fight - So you have two problems there - what will that do to his WBC ranking, and what if he wins the IBF belt (assuming Hatton gets through tonights test).

I think any Castillo fight is a WBC elim at the very least, lol
If Castillo looks bad tonight, he may end up having to face Witter.
I'm really hoping JLC does well tonight. I reckon Harris-Lazcano winner gets first shot at Witter.
Whatever happened to Castilo-Harris?

Hatton v Castillo is supposedly on for June 2nd if they both win. You think the fight will be off if Castillo wins but doesn't look good? Naive. No way that would actually increase the chances of it becoming reality IMO.

1. If Castillo fights for the IBF title he is removed from the WBC rankings.
2. Witter isn't losing to Harris

I'm going back to putting a question mark on Castillo win over his Corrales win. It seems he made 139 easily and cheated in the third fight, this indicates he may have cheated in the second fight (dont forget a member of Castillos team tried to lift the scale with their foot to cheat the scales in the second fight).
