what if castillo or hatton loses ???.....will hbo still approve of a hatton/castillo fight???

I hope not - I'm not that bothered about the Castillo fight in the first place.

He's getting on a bit now, and as far as I can see, it is going to give the Hatton haters all the more ammunition when hatton does him over: Stating Castillo was too old etc.

Just like they have done since the Tzsyu fight.

Any # of factors can and will change the landscape. What if Hatton gets a lucky decision, if Castillo is pedestrian in beating Ngoudjo? I'm interested in how, say, if Hatton & Castillo fail to raise the pulse, how that will change Witter's lot.

I had an idea (dangerous at the best of times.)

Hatton-JLC does admittedly seem 90% sewn up to be the next fight for each, but just a little theory:

JLC just won a WBC eliminator for Witter's belt. I know Lazcano-Harris is also billed as an eliminator, but since JLC was already #1, and has just beaten #2, then surely he is the mandatory now (if he wanted it?)

Well, what if instead of Hatton-JLC, they pressed JLC's mandatory on to Witter. If JLC wins, then they can have Hatton-JLC, for an extra title, and the heat on Haton to fight Witter is reduced?
