Both Clarence Adams and Tom Boom Boom Johnson are underrated. Both were solid guys....with Boom Boom being a slight notch above Adams in my opinion.....

Craig Payne was an oustanding amateur who beat Mike Tyson and Teófilo Stevenson amongst others. Payne also lost close fights with Tyrell Biggs and Lennox Lewis.
The guy obviously had a lot of talent but as a professional always looked way out of shape due to liking the nightlife way too much (often partying with Heavyweight contender James Broad?).
When he turned professional I think he was handled by Eddie Futch for a while but Futch dropped him due to Paynes lack of work ethic.

KOJOE,
Good work, that's the stuff I like to see.Yes,Payne liked the nightlife, but when he was serious,he was one of the fastest heavyweights around, with good defense and a solid chin.He did also beat Biggs once. That has always benmy impression, that he wasted his talent, but he could been a good one.
