74 clinches in the last 3 rounds is not too bad....... is it ? ...
What were the stats for the Tszyu fight, It would have been at least 20 a round for the entire fight.search wrote:I counted 22 in Round 10, 28 in round 11, and 24 in round 12.
hatton is lucky that he had a manchester crowd... otherwise he would be booed out of the arena.
Of course.....because Witter is famed for his fantastic stamina in a fight and especially his outstanding workrate in the final 3 roundssearch wrote:Hatton initiated a clinch every 7.29 seconds of the last 3 rounds by my calculations!
If he tried that with Witter he'd find himself booking a quick appointment with the canvas.
Hatton can not get away from the fat he learnt f all coming up to his first 37 fights..liamlion wrote:
When was the last time Hatton stopped someone with a body punch?...Fair enough the calibre of Hatton's opponent is higher now than in his WBU days, but Hatton's in-fighting really has become non-existent. Hatton used to put his head on his opponents chest, and work their body over - bobbing to the right and left-hand side of opponents and unleashing brutal rib crunchers.
Where do these people crawl out from is the more pertinent point? When Witter fights they dont bother with Compubox. Instead they have a little old lady of 93, with her hair in rollers, chainsmoking. She has a scrap of paper, on which she counts the 16 punches, does next weeks shopping list, and they give her enough money for more fags and a game of Bingo.yiddo14 wrote:Of course.....because Witter is famed for his fantastic stamina in a fight and especially his outstanding workrate in the final 3 roundssearch wrote:Hatton initiated a clinch every 7.29 seconds of the last 3 rounds by my calculations!

One British punter on a boxing forum claimed Hatton clinched 74 times in the final three rounds. It wasn't that many but it must have been about 50.
