hatton is lucky that he had a manchester crowd... otherwise he would be booed out of the arena.
What were the stats for the Tszyu fight, It would have been at least 20 a round for the entire fight.

Maybe Ricky wasn't 100% on the night, but either way I'm watching the replay and this time focusing on Urango.

Shit if I was supporting the Colombian I'd have been SO pissed off with Ricky's tactics.

If he tried that with Witter he'd find himself booking a quick appointment with the canvas.
Of course.....because Witter is famed for his fantastic stamina in a fight and especially his outstanding workrate in the final 3 rounds

I was thinking about this same issue when I watched Hatton's fight the other night.

When was the last time Hatton stopped someone with a body punch?...Fair enough the calibre of Hatton's opponent is higher now than in his WBU days, but Hatton's in-fighting really has become non-existent. Hatton used to put his head on his opponents chest, and work their body over - bobbing to the right and left-hand side of opponents and unleashing brutal rib crunchers.

It was Hatton's ability to fight in-close that made him deadly effective and exciting to watch. But he's scrapped this part of his game in favour of grappling. At certain points against Urango Hatton was lunging at his opponent to grab hold of him.

Hatton can not get away from the fat he learnt f all coming up to his first 37 fights..

Urango is BASIC and Strong and he had Hatton clinching like a rent boy.

Hatton would be chewed up by the elite - he has been waked about by b and c level fighters..

Collazo and Urango.

Where do these people crawl out from is the more pertinent point? When Witter fights they dont bother with Compubox. Instead they have a little old lady of 93, with her hair in rollers, chainsmoking. She has a scrap of paper, on which she counts the 16 punches, does next weeks shopping list, and they give her enough money for more fags and a game of Bingo.

Did anyone else notice that Rhino's quote made this weeks Boxing News?

News Page 8 'Watt hard on Hatton?
One British punter on a boxing forum claimed Hatton clinched 74 times in the final three rounds. It wasn't that many but it must have been about 50.
