The Danaher family from Bethnal Green in London were well known boxers in the 1920s and 30s. I think that a younger one may have boxed more recently.

Haven't seen this one mentioned yet: Roy Jones Senior had a brief pro career, which included getting an ass-whupping at the hands of Marvin Hagler. (I believe that sort of thing only counts as a "highlight" after enough years have passed.

I know it is amatuer, but the Frankhams good friends, and relatives by marraige, the Stevens.
Les won the ABA's heavy, before turning pro, then twenty years to the very week i think it was, Les' son Blue did the same thing winning the ABA Heavy title. Both National.
