I've read on another forum that hatton received a cracked rib on Sat - haven't seen anythign else of this online...

Is this true?

If so I know exactly when it happened. I big shot to the body in the 5th round which had Hatton covering his body everytime Urango advanced.

For a while Hatton looked happier to take shots to the head than body!

Wouldnt be suprised Urango is the hardest hitter at 140 imo and he lifted Hatton up with a body shot once or twice

Still don;t believe it's true as it would have made the papers...

I haven't seen anything in the writeups about it, maybe he did, I thought he doesn't like the taste of his own medicine anyway, I remember the last couple of rounds of the Tackie fight where Hatton was being hurt to the body.

People are going way over the top on Urango. So far today Ive read he's lb 4 lb the biggest boxer in the world, and now he is the hardest hitter at 140. This is a man who couldnt knockout a guy Michael Gomez dusted in 6rds. As far as single shots go I'd say Torres and Witter hit harder.

Did anyone get the fight night weights for the two of them?

Agree Wales, fight went pretty much how I expected - although I thought the accumulation of Hatton punches would get to Urango in the end and Hatton would finish the fight a bit better than he did. I thought it would be almost a role reversal of the fight. Hatton hitting and clitching early, wearing down Urango by the later stages were he would be punching non stop.

Very strong, with a hard head and body. But slow, lethargic, limited shot selection and no real evidence to suggest he is a P4P level puncher. You can be strong as an OX but without the punch.... remember Steve Robinson and Lovemore N'dou. I think Urango hits harder than those two (comparable with Ndou) but nothing spectacular - and for him to progress he would really need 1 punch KO power, cause he is never going to land often.

not sure about the rib but rickys definately got a decent chin, he even got butted accidently right on the button but it was urango who stopped to rub his sore head, thats what you call a good chin!

the first time we saw a glimpse of vunerablility in Hatton as a pro was probably when Rowland caught him with a good shot to the body when they fought back in 2000(??). He sucked it up and came back to stop Jason shortly afterwards mind you :-)

that might clearify my wonders on why his corner was talking about getting threw this one.... it sounded like they knew somethin was wrong.. totally understandable considering he did do alot of holding.. i would have too is i was hurt in such a way...
