I have Bobby fighting two extra fights than those listed by Boxing Central. The first is a April 14 1984 fight against Bernardino Moreno in Panama City which he won by a 9th round ko, the second is a June 23 1987 fight against Martin 'Chiva' Guevera at Tucson Az which Chacon won by a 3rd round ko.
The Guevera fight I m sure is authentic as I have a small report about it in a August 87 Ring magazine, but I am not certain of the Moreno fight.
Does anyone know if this fight is authentic?.... I m a bit dubious about Chacon having fought in Panama. If authentic the Moreno fight would have been Bobbys first since the Ray Mancini fight.

Whoa! I just asked these same questions in the Record Queries forum, at almost the exact same time!

It looks like the Guevara fight is legit. Does anyone know if there's film of it?

Boxrec has Jose Chacon fighting Moreno on THAT SAME DAY, so I think that may have been how that mistake was made. I agree with you; I don't see Bobby going to Panama to fight. He's a California fighter.
