I'm trying to remember the name of a exciting, hard hitting, vulnerable Asian/British fighter. He came from a kickboxing background. I recall him saying he was "bullied at school, but became the ultimate bully." Been racking my brain trying to remember who he was.

Excuse my spelling here but was it Harry Dhami? or something like that?

Nah, it wasn't that. He was a Yorkshireman I think. That's all I know. Skinny as well.

Could be. He was either from Bradford or Scotland, my memory fails. I do get the feeling he was a light or a light welter.

All I remember is that he was vulnerable, either had been knocked down a few times or had a stoppage loss or 2, exciting domestic level fighter - poss British champion - who took up kickboxing when he was bullied at school in a very rough area of the UK, and said "I became the ultimate bully" in a mid/late 90s issue of Boxing News. Maybe lightweight or light welter, exciting fighter.

Too vague for me. The first post sounds to me like it could be like Khaliq, although I don't remember a kickboxing background. But every post after seems to rule him out.

You're going to have to search the archives for hours on end to see if there's a name that rings a bell, or pray that someone is kind enough to look through their old copies of Boxing News. I'd do it, but mine don't stretch back that far.

I would say it is Ahmed - he was a lightweight, lost to Wayne Rigby in a thriller.
